Triple circuit? I'm all ears! Keep us posted in the future! My dad survived the Jungles of Vietnam and the monsoons. He said he took off soaking wet socks to just put damp ones back on. #Jungle Rot.

I work on class eight trucks and years ago brakes on big trucks used this system, although it used just air with a single chamber brake can to apply brakes. it was eventually deemed unsafe because if you lost air pressure you had no brakes, thus the dual can spring brake can was implemented

Thanks Garrett for every video you do. It would be good if you could also show like a small schematic or drawing of what your explaining. I try to follow but ide have to get another deuce type mechanic to do something like that but even as a operator/owner its good to comprehend as much as possible so you can work together with whomever I would possibly hire to do something like that. Thank you once again its always good to see that smiling face with a smudge of grease, the Tactical repair man ! he,he, cool dude.

I thought about finding a belt driven vacuum pump for a large truck, F650 and up and possibly run just hydraulic brakes with a proportional valve.
Not sure how well it would work but just an idea

I thought about this too. I like that it is simple and definitely more redundant. Plenty of M105’s around and a lot get cut up for bobber donors. Never tried sourcing parts to rebuild/replace those cans before, so I guess it all depends how hard it would be to service in the future. I also considered a backup air tank with a check valve should the system lose all air pressure somehow (like a line snapping) to have an e-stop single use tank (like how hydromax has that little motor) to get it off the road in an emergency. Lots of things to consider but nothing is impossible.

Not your idea, this air over hydraulic multi master system was used on Wanderlodge motorhomes for a number of years. Up until recently you could still find the air operated masters, called 'pressure converters' listed through Napa, but they seem to be mostly NLA. There are still some new pressure converters being made, mostly for trailer retrofit applications.

I was just thinking about 3 master cylinders from a military jeep. Non power brake. Heavy leg brakes. My 62 nova was 4 wheel drum non power brake.

Not that was going to try this anytime soon. But I was going to try two single circuit master cylinder two air packs one front and one for the back.

Any idea where to find info ab out doing the install of 1970-80 vintage commercial truck mc? I'd be interested to see what was done and how it all worked out. Thanks.

Why not just use 5 ton axles and air breaks?

Do you have any idea where to source those parts?
