@S0meb0dy825 1. Silly things sometimes like 3" wooden hands attached to a clothespin to applaud an accomplishment. 2. Squirrels scattered maple seeds around my yard. One year, I dug up and planted in Solo cups 30 seedlings for my staff. (Japanese lace leaf maple trees are very expensive to buy and they received a free one.) The accompanying card said, "You are Tremendous" (with the T shaped like my spreading tree.) 3. I bought bud vases for 25c at the thrift store. I worked out a deal with a florist and delivered a carnation (33c each) to every teacher every Monday. (It was fun to walk down the hall with an armload of flowers.) 4. Oreo Truffles are very rich, so just a few are enough. (Bag of crushed Oreos blended with a block of cream cheese. Chill. Role into 3/4" balls. Dip in melted chocolate. Chill.) 5. Hand-made quilted potholders (made with free leftover scraps plus thread). 6. Knitted dishcloths or pot scrubbies (50c each). 7. Mini loaf pans (90% off after Christmas=20c each), filled with muffins. 8. Pretty plate (90% off) filled with a few cookies and chocolate covered nuts. 9. Split a box of clementines--give 1/2 box to postal workers, 1/2 box to teacher's lounge ($3 each). GET CREATIVE! SHOP AFTER CHRISTMAS!
@@S0meb0dy825I like making the mason cookie jars, jus add the ingredients to the jar, put the lid on N add instructions on how to make them, well jus say add egg and what heat an how long in an oven , or you could use a oven glove, add some cake mixture inside the Mittens then some kitchen utensils like a whisk etc x they were really cheap to make especially from the pound shop, but it might be a dollar store for you depending were u live x
The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear! I spend every day singing, sometimes alone at home and sometimes out in the community. Either way, it makes me feel full of cheer. Hi Whitney, I have not been on for awhile. I had a TIA, which is another way of saying a Mini-stroke and I was in the hospital and then in rehab for a month. Then, when I got home, the day prior to my 73 Birthday, I passed out and fell and broke my left hip. Another month between hospital and rehab again and finally I am ready to start Physical Therapy and Occ Therapy with Home Health and I plan to be walking again by Christmas. I love your videos Whitney and have learned so much from you. I can't get over how grown up Finn has gotten!
Thank you! Been a Donny osmond fan since 1962. I see that he and fans are now doing friendship bracelets Ala Taylor. I plan on getting to Vegas to see him this year and now I know how to make those things that weren't around back in the day! Love and happiness to you and family not just for holidays but always
Your wood builds are my favorite part of your videos. I'm going to ask Santa to bring me some woodworking tools for Christmas. Nothing major, I'm such a novice when it comes to working with wood, you have inspired me.
Hi. I just watched your 2x4 video again. The one thing that struck me as something that could have a dual purpose was your floating shelf. It could be turned into a mantle for the holidays, for those that do not have one. It could go on any wall, in any house. Much cheaper than buying one at the flea market or antique store. It could be "jazzed up" as desired. Thank you for all your wonderful videos.
Whitney, You are one awesome woodworker!! I love all your “mad” woodworking skills and all of your projects! You can flat do it!! Finn is super cute (like always) and has the sweetest smile!! Thanks again for all your inspirational ideas. ❤
What can't you do? You are Wonder Woman. Wish that I would have learned how to work with wood (I'm OLD, now). Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
I've got an updated Canva video slated for early next year. In the meantime, here's another one that will show you how to use the program: ua-cam.com/video/aVnDEvFqK1E/v-deo.htmlsi=uXpUWuMlLPTVnfKw
I've been working on the football tray! Of course our team logo is really detailed 🤪. I think I'll have to cut it out one more time to get a better layering scheme. 4th time's the charm I hope! 😂
Hi Witt, is it ok to call you Witt? Merry Christmas we had snow showers in Indiana today. I love snow now that I am retired. Lol. You did inspire me to make a table for my new tv. It wouldn’t need to be wide. I like those quilt ladder and that bench in entryway. I enjoy watching you. I made a bedside table in camp fire girls. Hahaha thanks for sharing.
Good morning Whitney! I was just just watching this video, and I’ve got an idea for you, that came from the card holder you made for your brother, with his business logo on it. Have you considered using your Maker3 to make him business cards, on some type of very thin wood? Not necessarily practical to carry a bunch around with him, but, a few, to be offered to new, or extra important clients, would be awesome! If this is something you’ve already done or considered, sorry! ps: Merry Christmas!
10:21 Jewelry Finding Tip- with hooks and jump rings etc TWIST DONT PULL the rings to OPEN them. They will open enough to let your stuff slide on but WONT lose their SHAPE!!
19:25 I need this! My dad left me all his albums when he died, they've all been sitting in boxes because I couldn't find the right thing to display them. Love this idea!
These are such cute ideas. You always have great ideas. thank you! I ordered that clear tray to do a tray for my son. I didn't get it done. I will have to try it again. He always has people over for football sunday.
Funny story... One of my grands said "batta bing batta boom" yesterday. I started laughing....their mom was like "where did you hear that"? They replied, " Mrs Whitney on UA-cam says it". 😂😂😂 The mom... " Well that's adorable. And you watch a lot of Mrs Whitney ". We all laughed so hard.
Always a delight to view your videos. Such amazing talent, enthusiasm, engagement and content. We are so lucky and blessed to have to have you as a craft mentor. Thanks for all that you do….
I LOVE your videos! So creative and inspirational! What I don’t understand is pilot holes. I understand why they are needed, but I don’t understand or know what size drillbit to use for the pilot hole. Any advice?
Good question! I like to line up my drill bit with the screw and decode that way. Typically you want them a bit smaller than the screw. It just needs to get started. I typically use a 1/8” bit for a standard screw. I hope that helps ♥️
Whitney have you heard of the tonie for kids? It is a machine that plays the child’s favorite movie and story characters and it tells them a story and music and it’s awesome. I have bought one for my three year old grandson and my one year old granddaughter. There are a little pricey but you can keep buying new characters for birthday and holidays. My grandkids are in love with them. I know Finn likes cats and bluey they have all those and so do much more. I picked them up on Amazon ❤❤❤
Whitney, you do truly amaze me! I forget what fantastic things you do 😂 I don't know why I'm going to ask this question because I surely don't need them but you drop the link for those fabulous paper Christmas lights and trees behind you? I always love how you go out of your way to help other people and encourage others. I bet you are an incredible Mother! Finn is one lucky little boy!🥰❤️
Nice ❤ but i would have loved to have recieved the glasses in the box tho.. just put the whole box in there its pretty plus it takes up more space add a clesr bag n bow n yeahhyaaaaaa❤😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Loved them all, of course!!! I really enjoy your crafts. I forgot about that bench you made. Such a simple piece and yet so very high end. Its something I would like to try and do but I don't need a bench. HEY Maybe put it on my front porch or back deck. Hmmmmmmm!! Have a great day
I have used your large photo fram idea for my son's graduation party photo displays. It was so awesome and hoping reuable for my younger sons future parties

Thank you for the great gift ideas! I love the thought of giving something that is handmade or personalized, and found several of your ideas are just perfect for the people in my life. I also appreciate that these are all cost effective to make, and look high end! And OMG!! The tape cap?!?! That’s a game changer for me! 😱😱My only feedback would be to have a multipack of 1”, a multipack of 1.5”, etc. Not just a mixed multipack. Most of my tape is 1 or 1.5 inches wide, and I use a variety of colors and styles. So just one cap of that size isn’t going to cut it. (Pun intended! 😂)
OMG, I was just looking at my peppermint things from HobbybLobby and wondering if I could make a pair of earrings to match my shirt for today! You just confirmed that and I made a pair in 2 minutes while I was getting ready for work❤❤❤

With dozens of gift recipients outside of family, my budget was $3. It was amazing what I could make for $3 or less, even before dollar stores.
Totally! DIY helps so much!

Haha yes! That’s what I showed as an example in the other video ♥️
I needed this video. So many teachers who need to be thanked on a very small budget.
