Superb video. So reminds me of my best flight. Flying from Lasham in a trainer glider the KH13. Thermal streets all around. It was difficult to come down but sadly the instructor needed a wee! 55 mins of bliss flying over Alton, Basingstoke and up to near Greenham Common! Only experience near to this was flying over stubble fires. Rough, smelly but exhilarating! Lasham I will be back soon!
Very convincing win! I followed this contest closely on Soaring Spot and would like to hear your take on the fact that the latest generation ships where outclassed by the previous generation 15m gliders. And especially on what Uwe did with his LS3. Maybe do a podcast with him?
V2's have always done well in 15m comps..........especially in weak weather....... less so at 18m span, and every dog has his day....

Hi Stefan, I'm getting a LS-3 next month. It will need refinishing before I can fly it but the price is right and they seam to perform great for their age. Keep up the good work!

Wow, casually chatting around with UA-cam while absolutely destroying the competition! I followed the competition daily on SoaringSpot, you're a great inspiration for me. Casually going 20kph on average faster than another LS3 on the same task :D I just got my license last year and hoping to start doing cross country flights this summer. Long way to go before even thinking about competing, and I'm already in my mid-twenties.

There's only air vents. No heating or cooling. So as I love to say "Life is better at cloudbase!"

I opened the video at the nicest time possible. It had 69 views. Also are there many flies in Germany? Recently I saw gliders at my local airfield in the Italian Alps with their wings black due to how many there were.
