I did have a pair, they were fine. As a Designer, I like to support Brands, as they employ Designers. Design is the key. I am running sector 8s now, as they are based in MIA.
I agree. For certain reasons like design, product testing, engineering, etc. it's absolutely worth supporting bigger names. Just depends on the person's situation and their outlook on it.
It's a catch-22 with buying the knock-off Fookers. I'm not brand loyal by any means. With some items it just doesn't matter (glasses for example). That being said, any product that require research and development to create will cost more, because you have to account for all the hours spent on that research. If a knock-off brand can pretty much steal your design, with no penalty, and sell it at half the price...you no longer feel motivated to innovate further. As such, by supporting knock-off brands we essentially halt or slow down research into better consumer products that pay us back in dividends performance-wise.
I bought these a few days ago, they are absolutely amazing. They took a massive peddle striker on rock when I was balling a** first day and held up. These are really good peddles.
Just got into mountain biking and road cycling am am surprised how expensive everything is... for that reason I’m gonna go with the fookers. They have to be much better than the stock pedals I’ve been using
I am with you on that. There are certain things in both categories of riding that bring significant performance per dollar value and we luckily live in the best time for customizing and tuning our bikes!
Callsign _GT it makes a huge difference in control and overall confidence. Riding flat pedals with no grip or pins doesn’t allow for a solid connection with the bike... imagine feeling like you are part of the bike, rather than just riding it. Grippy flat pedals can feel almost like clipless pedals without being fully connected. When I ride stock pedals on a bike I immediately feel less control and stability. Hope that helps!
I could pay $50 or a set of good flats, but that seems about as much as I'd want to pay. I mean it's sort of arbitrary based on just what I'm used to paying, but yeah $50 for pedals on my "good bike", I can do that. But for my other bikes I'll go with cheaper.
Fooker & Giant should give you free products since you're endorsing their Brand. i like the Stamp 1 Pedals because they do make "Large" and "Small". i also have Raceface Chester but it comes in one standard size. I wonder if Fooker makes Large size too? if it'll be call Large Fooker and Small Fooker? Just like Driving from San Francisco on i5 South, i saw "Little Panoche Exit", and then "Panoche" Exit, i was waiting to see if there's "Big Panoche" exit but there were none... Maybe "Panoche" Exit was the "Big Panoche" i was waiting to see...
I had a pair of stamps bought them last year, had to send them back as one of them developed slight movement. Indecisive now, should I buy another pair, thinking these were a bad batch or to pay more for better quality?
I'd go for a different set. Better wouldn't be the term I use. Just different. I'll be trying a larger platform metal pedal next time. I noticed the pins on these pedals didn't feel as engaging as some pedals I've used.
@@YourOwnAdventure well I think most places it could really be useful, most people don't have the power to make it up longer climbs without super low gearing, even me I always want a granny ring. But when I move back to Fl, I'll probably be looking at more 1x setups.
Stamp 1's suck IMO, the raised spindle prevents grip, especially in wet conditions. Better off buying something like the One Up Components Composite pedal.
I’ve been saying it for years now. you’re mostly paying for a name now. used to be you get what you pay for. not so much anymore these days. you have to really do your homework these days on products you buy. in a lot of cases you’ll find out you’re just paying for a name and not getting the quality you would think you’re paying for.
Why do you endorse chinese copycats that took work from a good company like raceface. They are literally the same to the small engravings. Raceface spent a lot of time designing these pedals and they don't get a lot of credit for it because if you search raceface chester pedals, the fooker ones come up first.
I'd rather have a large pizza 🍕🍕🍕

looks good, I'll for sure consider these when looking for new flats.
They are great for people like you, and I who are always tinkering on bikes!

What difference does the pedal make on a bike? Right now I'm using a stock Walmart bike and trying to find upgrades any recommendations?

Your Own Adventure thanks bro!! Any other recommended upgrades for my Walmart bike?
@@masongt6546 What bike is it? Bars, Grips, and tires would be a good place to start.

Biiiigg Fookers

I love that, that liv has a 2x, although not sure if it's totally required in florida.
I don't know why they decided with the 2x.... maybe just to add a little more. Luckily, it's easy enough to remove the derailleur and inner ring.

@@BruceChastain That's what I thought. It's a great option for everywhere else.....
Except Florida Haha.
I like the nylon pedals. The pedal strikes are not as severe as using alloy.
Very true. I typically wear knee pads anytime I think shin strikes are an option...
Nice video 👍
I’m getting fookers after my stock pedals break
They're worth it. Hope your stock pedals have decent pins!
Yea my stock pedals are pretty thicc
3 ring or needle bearing?
Nukeproof scout
You can get it in 3 bearing or needle.

I gotta agree after 6 months with them... they're a no go for me. I have switched to clips and have the one up aluminum for jump bike.
watch seth's bike hacks for another point of view
Get both sides of the coin watching them back to back. All I have to say about it.
Just in case anyone wants to know they require 2 (6700rs) bearings and 1 (686z) bearing
You must buy high-priced pizzas.
Papa Johns is expensive bro
Rockbros is much better than Fookers or Crankbrothers...ie they has a flat surface like asain's butt, unlike Fookers and CB that has uneven surfaces!

These fookers are now the same price as the originals 💀
You can still get them on AliExpress for about 18$, but under different name
