    That's funny Mr Legit, I call it 13 or 26 instead of 1 tab and 2 tab. But it's the same process. Nice job my guys.

    • @joeshmoe8912

      I just wanted to say the reason I call it 13 and 26 is I cut my books at 6.5, 13, 19.5, 26, 32.5" that gives you 2 sets less the full shingle of each book.

  • @A7ENB

    It will most likely leak again depending how the underlayment holds up. When doing a valley you should always shingle low slope first. If the pitch is same you should do the main roof first dormers last. I have seen this happen many times.

    • @MrLegit
      @MrLegit  3 роки тому

      Here in PNW we roof low slope first, then if it's the same pitch dormer first. Where do you live?

    16 years roofing, never had a leak!.
    Except a chimeny that was cleaned right after we did the work, by the homeowner, and the chimney leaked, cam back and I re flashed and re counter flashed, the chimney,
    Old chimney, moss removed, it leaked from the top.
    Client called me later and admitted it, so happy he did.
    I thought I was a failure,
    Now I know more about chimneys.
    ;)

      Was 1 year old counter flashing before re roofing. So shouldn't have changed it but they said it was that.

      I dont have a number . I've done this over 35yrs and never had to go back and fix the job I did never mind tearing off half the roof . When you sub out work and you as the boss are not there helping to put the roof this is what could happen. They don't care. Plus everyone thinks that being able to shingle fast makes a good roofer and never bang down nails or blast through because you don't have a hammer is the way its done . Well its not quality

    They nailed close too the valley, that's how leak started, you should always nails 10 inches from the valley, California cut too nail the starter in the valley is usually 6 inches (a shingle with 6 inches wide and 42 inches long) California cut is an under exposed valley and bad workmanship, I hate those valleys and that why we are over coming the completion in the province we live in

    Contracting is low, "lemme show you how this is done.. actually ill just pay some one too do it and show you me doing the last row" no workmanship, no wonder you got called back and probly getting called back again, i have never seen a Mexican using Mexicans, thats a true "american" shame on those guys making piece work, getting paid in usa pennies...
