    Borrowed this tool to pull 2 clevis mounted hydraulic cylinder pins. 2" diameter x 20 long. After lancing the pins it pulled them effortlessly. Just cut the pin Every 4" and weld adapter back on! 👍 Worked awesome! I'm buying one now!

    This is wild. On my Fontaine the worse you need is an air hammer to push out the old bushing.

    I looked at tiger tool to get some very seized pins out of my skid loader. Once I saw the price for their setup I about sh!t myself. They wanted over $3000 for their set up by the time you buy everything shown here. I started researching and bought a Temco 30 ton hollow ram with air over hydraulic pump (all in for $425)
    Used some 1-1/4" cold rolled (tried 1" threaded rod and it just stretched and broke) welded to the pins and used a scrap piece of 4" schedule 40 pipe to go over the pin and receive it as it was being pulled and welded a 1/2" plate for a washer on the top side of the ram. It worked perfect and was a hell of alot cheaper. Temco makes a very quality product and has a 5 year warranty. I would not hesitate if considering one. These Tiger tools are way overpriced.

    this is a great tool. we work in upsate new york so we know rust. so far this has removed 6 pins all with ease. So easily that this you tube video pins actually are fighting harder than any of the pins we have removed. we also have thermal cutter that we use to use to remove these pins. haven't had to even look at it since we got this.
    the weld on plugs are re use able. we have used the same plug on all 6 pins and i bet we can get 6 more pins out of the same plug. easy to weld on and to cut back off
    As always awesome tools tiger.

    Just yesterday, I pulled those pins. I used a 10k power pack pushing the pins from under the 5th wheel. Pins were very, very rusty. I hate those demonstration videos that "prove" how tough is the tool....................on new parts. They should try their fancy tools in a real life situations with real problems the technicians face everyday.

      yEAH - Try a 1966 pivot joint on a Dan outdrive...and the pin has a square head to it, too! Why??

    Don't worry guys, it's only $2000, and all you need to buy after that is a 10,000psi pump. Then all you have to do is beat the crap out of the pin, stand on an old greased up fifth wheel and weld some fittings to the pins that you have to continue to buy as you use them up..lol nice idea but no practical at all.

    So, what exactly was the purpose for the very first piece that got screwed in and whacked with the hammer?

    • @TigerTool
      @TigerTool  5 років тому +3

      To "shock" the bracket pin loose from the 5th wheel.

    Very basic hydronic puller and half cut round cylinder made tiger tool specialty to sell just the socket stuff for 700 and puller probably 1000 plus where as stuff is no morerhen 200 together. Why would you weld the nut while you can have hardened steel threaded bar thread in and go through puller and pull it

    How bout just maintaining the fifth wheel so you don't have to deal with this nonsense? I pull my pins out by hand or get them started with a pry bar if i need to take my fifth wheel off. I love tools, but this is just silly. Theres a million other ways to do this without spending a fortune on this one use toy.
