Amputee Gets Into Wheelchair from Floor for the FIRST TIME!

I've been working with Mitch at Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers in DeLand, FL for a little over month now, and I am making tremendous progress. We've been working on things like strengthening my legs and making sure that I have no contractures, so I can walk again, and getting into a chair that is sitting on the mat.
That is well and good, but I really wanted to be able to get back into my wheelchair if I fell out. (I've fallen out twice, already...) Today, Mitch gave me the freedom to try. Watch this video to see what happened!

As I too am handicapped now I fell and broke my Right Hip March of 2021 I think about how you are doing…
Congrats in getting into your Wheelchair without falling.
I’m not in a wheelchair, I use a Walker only when I am outside needing to climb down deck steps to the sidewalk and eventually to whomever is picking me up for outdoors activities!
I too worry about falling again…
You have a great attitude after everything that has happened to you..

Because insurance REFUSED a wheelchair and that is what I could afford.
