the easiest way to put the diaphram back in is to fold it back on itself so you get it to look like the top of a mushroom and then it sits perfect in the groove and then put the top back on ps once you do it this way you will know what i mean and you get no creases in the diaphram
Wow! I really thought I had a belt issue, was about to start digging into it and had it running 100% in five minutes. I owe you a beer!
😄👍🏼🙌🏼
Your excitement at the end had me smiling! Love a video that shows it sometimes takes a few tries.
😊 thank you
I just want to thank you for the video I was having the same issue and now my Vespa lx 150 is running great 👍
I don't have a scooter nor do I know how to ride one, but this video motivates me to buy one and learn how to ride it. I love the last part of this video. Very candid!
Go for it!
I had the same problem on my Vespa and got the last White Lithium Greas tube at ACE Hardware yesterday. I grease up the grove for the diaphragm gasket and this WORKED!!! Thank you Mitch!!
Awesome!! 😄🙌🏼
I love how stoked you got. I’ve been there. When you finally get it. Boom!
I recently bought a used lx150 (with an incredibly low 200 miles). Had the same problem… started and ran great but wouldn’t go over 25.. I had to stop and check the side of the bike to make sure I wasn’t riding a Vespa 50. After some internet research determined the CV boot wasn’t sealing.. tried to reseat but no luck. Your grease trick (I used silicone grease) worked! Very happy!! thanks Mitch 👍🏻
You’re AWESOME! Thank you for sharing this easy fix. Was stoked when I cracked open the throttle and my LX150 had power again. This video was exactly what I needed. Thanks again!
Great to hear!😄🙌🏼
Mitch, el N°1 en scooters!! Saludos 🇦🇷
Mitch, you rock! I rebuilt my carb and sure enough, I had the exact same issue. Went to the local auto parts store, purchased the Lithium Grease and she's a rockin the speed again. Thanks, brother guys like you make UA-cam the great source it is.
Glad it helped!😄🙌🏼
You're my hero!!! Same exact thing was going on. Had the carb taken apart 10 times at least.
Happy to help out! 🙌🏼
Mitch the scooter MASTER!
Thank You Mitch!!! It was worked for my vespa !!!!🤩
Yah!!
Great job ✊🛵✊👊
Cool THX and greeting from Hamburg !
Thanks man big help
Yes this happened to us when cleaning the carb on my Piaggio Fly, fixed it with some Vaseline!
Could you use WD40 as well?
Merci beaucoup !!!! J’ai acheté un vespa d’occasion récemment et j’avais le même problème qui persistait après avoir changé la courroie et galets de transmission et impossible de savoir d’où venais le problème ! Merci !!
Thanks from Denmark. That works, my scooter is now running as new :) I used tractor grease.
Awesome!! Happy to hear! 🙌🏼
I'll give that a go👍
Hey Mitch Co Part has a helix for auction right now, it's yellow and looks beautiful. It was in a flood, you should get it and restore it.
Aw man I wish!! I don’t have co part member hmmm
Same same on my Aprilia compay. I owe you one too.
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thks four your excellent video I have a Vespa Lx 50 my carburetor drope a little petrol from the bolw if I remove the carburetor to change the tray is not out of tune
Ohhh nice your are the best.!!
Dude i have the same problem that i was trying to solve for over 2 months thank you
welcome!
I have the same probleme in my sccoter tnx ❤
You are amazing 👍
Thank you so much 😀
Ευχαριστώ πάρα πολύ
Try it it didnt help much.i did replace that membrane thing but need to check lot of shops sells a lot of aftermarket parts and the sizes are different.U can also try a regular carb.
Hey man, what island are you on?
Awesome! 😃🤘🏻
🤙
I'm wondering if I'm having a similar issue. I'll lose power around 45-50mph and it'll stall when I come to a stop but then starts right back up. It did have a carb service recently and I might check this.
There is a stationary screw that makes it run at a certain rpm when standing still you need to tighten it so that it doesnt stall.
Hi Mitch! Do you think I use Fully synthetic engine oil to seat it?
Hey, I would use clear silicone or white grease over oil, I don’t think oil will help seat it in position
Can i change the carburateur
how about the fuel injection ? my vespa has the same problem, i guess so :(
white lithium grease is some great shit...👍
Doesnt lithium crease speed up rubbers degradation?
It depends if the grease itself is derived from petroleum. Some grease is and some isn’t, but you are correct to be cautious about getting grease onto rubber or plastic parts as some grease can cause damage.
Silicon grease seems fine with rubber.
I’m so stressed my zip50cc can rev the life out of it and it down want to go go it goes but not go go 😂
Dang! Did you figure it out? Sounds like belt broke?
I installed a new carburetor and it does the same to me it goes slowly only at 20 mph I don't understand why it does it it's new
that's weird! is it OEM?
Same here new carb and everything but it stays at 45mph when usually gets to 62mph
하와이에서 오토바이 타는 기분은
얼마나 좋을까
Do you recommen it even if the scooter is accelerating fine ?
