So did Leonard Nemoy... it's still possible to have their voices done in AI, but I'm not sure if that would be similar to Necromancy, defiling the corpse and what not

When I figured it out I couldn't not read the first reports that sounded sane and wise in Christopher Lee's voice and the rest where he sounded insane and deranged in Billy Zane's voice.

I think radiant garden’s theme and random sounds playing in the background add a nice touch to the AI reading the report. I’ll definitely play these videos when playing the game. I truly cant wait for the other ones!
I remember reading somewhere that the Ansem reports in KH1 were mostly written by Xehanort, except for the first one. That one was written by Ansem the Wise, but all subsequent entries were done by Xehanort posing as him.

Given that this was done during the Iraq war, it was likely seen as "unpatriotic" and thus Disney cut their ties. I have no idea about the movie, never saw it, but given that no one talks about it, it probably went under the radar, meaning it was a pointless thing to cut ties over.

@@tsunderecat413 I agree. Disney overreacted. I have nothing against the VA who took his place (I grew up with his anime dubs), but it was a waste to cut ties with Zane. I'm glad Zane still gets work and is still the awesome villain actor we all know. We need more Billy Zane voice acting in games.
I’ve seen people mention doing voices for the other Xehanort characters over lines where they couldn’t voice it, but I think it’d be interesting to see scenes from ReChain or Coded (or other games with KH1 Sora voicing lines) with KH1 Sora’s voice. Like Naminé’s backstory scene I think would be interesting but it’s just a thought lol. Fantastic work on these AI videos as always! I like em a lot!
As mixed as I am about the use of AI, I think this is a fun thing. It's great for the fans, and the reports were never voiced, so there's no real harm to Billy.

Richard Epcar is talented and I have nothing against him taking over when Zane was let go, but man.. even though it was only the first game, hearing Epcar is always so jarring. Zane had an elegant feel. Almost calm demeanor to him. Controlled for the most part. Epcar just sounds generic evil. I’m sure the dude gave it his all, but I will always love Zane’s crack at Ansem!
I am so sad to see a youtuber I like use these AI voices that have been crafted without the permission or consent of the original actors for soulless content. I understand the sentiment behind why one would want to make videos like this, but at the end of the day it is still incredibly harmful to actors as it helps trains these AI to continue to convincingly steal voices.

I agree. It's even weider when you have Terranort sharing the same voice. But then Xemnas has his own unique voice, making me miss Zane all the more.
I think Xehanort did Reports 2-13 and Ansem the wise only did Report 1.
Either way, this is still pretty good.
