@@batmanmarch It's weird, it only seems to be on this one, the rest of this set are stretched out into 16:9. The first and 4th doctors' tardis videos are a little squashed in, but not as much as this one.
Do you mind me asking, while it is odvious you are a classic series fan, what do you think of the new series?Personally,I love them both, though I do think the new series improves majorly on the role of companions and the human aspect of characters. But the what do you think?.And great review, think Im gonna buy this set
The 12th doctor has been reviled and i wonder if this new doctor figure will be will be released between 2014. I'm still looking forward to that. Venturously.
I think the hankercheif on Patrick is supposed to be the on he has in "The Two Doctors". I agree it would have been awesome to have seen a fur coat 2nd Doc but as it's a set it's kind of obvious that the figures would all be in basic design. Great reviews though, I cant wait to get me own (just sent it)
I have this my Daughter Danielle bought it for me I would not ever open it in Ireland it cost 66euro bought out of forbidden planet, my daughter bought it for me because I went outside thinking weather to buy or not and she did it for me,I'm very happy with it enjoyed your review thanks Paul
hi, i see in 00:30 that the 3th doctor is taller than the other 1st and 2th, so can you PLEAAAASE tell me which is their scale? maybe if the 3th doctor is 6 inch the others are 5.5 inch... i'm right?? please i really need to know the scale, thanks in advance.
Well done so far. Might I make a suggestion? It might make new variants in figures easier to identify if you did side-by-side comparisons with previous releases. I don't have most of the original classic doctor figures so it might help people like me make a purchase decision.
£50 is a really good price, I thought it would be alot more. If you think about it the figures can cost up to £10 and the special ones £25. 11 x £9 is £99 so you are getting 11 figures for half the price
OMG this was a big suprise matt...I didn't expect it to be out yet...Its seems so early to be out. What do you think of the fact that W and P are both 3 Docs...I would have loved a Troughton in Big Coat because he was in that coat twice I think...Great review an Amazing Set...Will you be showing us the TARDIS Box in came in
@batmanmarch I worked out that if all figures in this set were released seperately for £8:99 each, all figures together would cost £98:89 so £49:99 really is good value for money :)
Out of the first three the Pertwee is the one I'm excited about most. Just a repaint and kibash I know but I do like the colours. The Hartnell and Troughton are a bit meh as I've got the orginal releases. For the moment at least. If a Three Doctors Pertwee is released I can see me liking these more as I can display them with that.
I didn't have any of the Doctors but 11 when I pre-ordered this set. I waited on collecting any others until I saw what was in it. I'm not too concerned about repaints unless it's a majorly different color job. For that reason, I have the original 4th Doctor figure and the Real Time 6th Doctor and am awaiting these. Should arrive next month... Yes, I'm torturing myself by watching these.
Good review as always, Matt. I got these ones myself, and I got Doc#1 about to use his cane upside Doc#11's head. >:) Doc#1: This will knock some sense into you! Doc#11: Whoa, canes are not cool! ~thwunk~
I personally have to agree with SuperRichi1A, i don't see anything majorly wrong with the new series, since i'm a big fan of both Classic and New series, this set was definately worth it! especially for the 8th Doctor!, so i have to give it a 8.5/10!
OK then, 1) I don't mind The Doctor being so chummy lol, nice to see more emotion from him 2) Good point 3) It works for Smith, but only Smith 4) That's why I like it more! 5) Don't see your point here, but I can see where you're coming from "In danger of becoming a soap opera" I think is better 6) Whats wrong with the Cybusmen? Not that different from normal. 7) Very, very good point. Moffat sorely needs a run in with Alan Sugar's index finger!
Great review! But I'm not getting this because I've got William, Jon, Tom, Peter, chris, David and matt. I don't like Colin and McCoy so it's no point for £50.
Why aren't you keen on the new series? This is something I can't understand. My first Doctor was repeats of Tom Baker when I was small, and I really got into it at the age of 4 when the TV Movie came out, so, by definition, I am a "classician". I don't understand it when other classic Who fans critiizise the the new series for being "lacking" or not "the same". What exactly it is? Because, since the new series started everything, for me, has just improved hugely :)
I'm keen on the new series but the new series toys don't seem as good as the classics line and I'm not really interested in getting them. The 9th and 10th Doctors just never really looked that good. Having said that, I love Matt Smith and his figure is actually really good and has the same kind of quality put into it as the classic series. I think I'll just get the new TARDIS and maybe a Pond to go with him (as far as the new series go anwyay).
Many of us prefer the Doctor being the mysterious alien he is, not someone you'll have a drink with. Also, the Cybusmen SUCK, they are nothing but boring, goosestepping robots....the classic Cybermen, the REAL cybermen were creepy, clever, worked in the shadows, actually had personalities, and did not look like ironman rip offs, surprised Marvel never sued. Plus fast paced is not always good....many of us like slower paced stuff, and not stuff reserved for folks with low attention spans.
Well, he explains it in some of his recent interview videos with his mega hot girlfriend, there's many reasons. 1: The doctor's 'too chumy' with everyone 2: Everyone's trying to sleep with him 3: The current one especially keeps saying (insert clothing item) are cool! Imagine Doc 7 going, "Questions marks are cool!" no, just no 4: It's become too fast paced 5: It's become more of a soap opera, now 6: Cybusmen 7: Moffet
"Oh go on Jon ya silly sod!!!"
One of Matt's best lines. XD
This is one of my holy grails. I'll buy a set as soon as I save up a bit.
The aspect ratio on this video is a nightmare these days, I'm sure it wasn't like that originally, not sure what's happened there.
Nor me, it wasn't like this when it was uploaded. :(

Got this set today, It's very highly detailed and heck, one of the reasons I wanted it was because of YOUR EPIC REVIEW.
What would you say about a film which led to the first doctor and Susan leaving Gallifrey and who inspired him to do - basically his idol
The 12th doctor has been reviled and i wonder if this new doctor figure will be
will be released between 2014. I'm still looking forward to that. Venturously.
Any news of a JP figure from Season 7? You know, Spearhead from Space or DW and the Silurians?
@batmanmarch will you use the black, brown or both?
has anyone else noticed that the first doctors head is removeable?
y'know there is a way you could make it a two doc's pat troughton
wiv one instruction paint the hair grey.
the 2nd doctors bow tie isnt black its a very dark blue almost purple
do you watch the new sieries anyway, please review series5 figure set with dalek eternal and silurian if you get it please
Are you going to use the third doctor from Carnival Of Monsters in The Dalek Contagion

@talentshowdown Um, the rubber is rather thick. You'd need a pair of scissors to cut through it, it's not going to break.
This set got me into collecting the figure range!

great review and great intro!
The end made me laugh so much I hit my head on the wall xD "Oh go on John you silly sod" x;D

@Chazbot101 and a pertwee with a new bow-tie?
OMG this was a big suprise matt...I didn't expect it to be out yet...Its seems so early to be out. Batmanmarch, I wanted to ask you, who is your favorite doctor? Or do you like multiple doctors? I personally like Tom Baker and David Tennant.
I've asked for this for Chrismas, here's hopping i get it!
Out of the first three the Pertwee is the one I'm excited about most. Just a repaint and kibash I know but I do like the colours.
The Hartnell and Troughton are a bit meh as I've got the orginal releases. For the moment at least. If a Three Doctors Pertwee is released I can see me liking these more as I can display them with that.
the recorder colours are correct but it should be White with blue and not blue with white
I didn't have any of the Doctors but 11 when I pre-ordered this set. I waited on collecting any others until I saw what was in it. Did you get these from character options or forbiddenplanet?
simply fantastic , really want it but cant afford it right now, got a lot of petrol to pay out for so i can get to comic con this year
Good review as always, Matt. I got these ones myself, and I got Doc#1 about to use his cane upside Doc#11's head. >:)
Doc#1: This will knock some sense into you!
Doc#11: Whoa, canes are not cool! ~thwunk~
amazing review! unfortunately I have to wait till august to get mine (damn you forbidden planet) perhaps I may see it in toys r us in the future
Good review Batman. Only new series figure I'm interested in would be #9, since I liked him.
Brilliant review bats!!
Hey, long time no speak. =) I saw this set on Forbidden Planet yesturday. I'm glad they finally released them all. ^_^
The scale is the same for all of them, it's just that Jon Pertwee was a taller bloke.
@milllybob I have got it now, it arrived early from forbidden planet
@Chazbot101 I'll get PM when it gets cheaper on Ebay. ;)
Have that set
@LeeJ2512 £50 is cheap! Individually a figure is £7.99, 11 for £50 is very good.
I won this set for £35 on eBay yesterday! Looking forward to it! :D

gonna purchase this in a few weeks :)

One more thing: nice camera work. Maybe a bit dark, but it's not a major problem.
Why did you record this video lik this?
Great review! But I'm not getting this because I've got William, Jon, Tom, Peter, chris, David and matt. I don't like Colin and McCoy so it's no point for £50.
nice opening
Where's the 7th doctor's hat?!! You can't have 7 without his hat!
It’s from Ghost Light, he didn’t have a Hat in that story, I think

i think 50 pounds is a ridiculous price for 11 plastic figures, i would expect it to be 20 pounds max.....
How much did u spend?
HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET THIS SO QUICK!?!?!??! O_O :-D

Great review Matt! (Come on Jon, You Silly Sod) He He.
Jamie
GREAT VIDEO
THANK YOU BATMANMARCH
Why did you film the video like this? Everything is so narrow!
3rd one's face looks more like Pete Tyler
nice ending oh go on jon you silly sod
damn brits... makin awesome tv shows...
@batmanmarch i really dont think its worth it, the eleven figures are quite badly made/painted and are theyre tiny :/
Buy it now on amazon for £33 pounds.
Thats just £3 a figure!
@batmanmarch 11 for £40 now is even better!
Must get it. Saving up Amazon Money.
I don't belive it, you got it. And I have to wait longer :(
cool bats
are these 5 inch or 3.75?
Vuxlort they're 12 inch
TCF - The Ultimate Whovian lmao
@batmanmarch Yeah, it sealed the deal for me, to be honest.
@dylanmcginley He probably did.
@batmanmarch
Yup - this set is ridiculously cheap!

6: Cybusmen
7: Moffet
All the same height my only gripe.
WTF! All I am sayin. What a set XD
@DoctorWho1809 let people find you dot spam
