Since you havent started CC books, I would recommend reading them in timeline order, so starting with the Infernal devices trilogy, then the last hours trilogy, then the Mortal Instruments series, then the Dark Artifices trilogy. It makes a lot more sense when you have plot points sprinkled in, and some of her best books are the ones you would read first!
