The Best Hike in the World is in Nepal

- If you're planning a trip to Nepal, or Kathmandu, or whether you're thinking of climbing Mt Everest, or just want the best hiking experience ever, you should head to Everest National Park.
We went hiking Mt Everest solo and didn't have any issues whatsoever. This is because the trail is extremely built up - there are literal towns all along the path that have everything you could ever need.
Hotels are strictly $5 per night, unless you stay at something fancy.
Most meals are between $10-15, and you can grab a beer as well.
We started in Lukla, and made our way past Namche Bazaar to Hotel Everest View - which used to be in the Guinness Book for the world's highest elevation hotel (it's now sitting at 3rd place).
This was only a 5 day hike for us, but you can make it a 12 day hike if you want to go all the way to Everest Base Camp and back (very leisurely pace).
The scenery is beautiful, the people are kind, and the weather, though rapidly changing, is usually quite nice.

@@BottomLineUpFront need to more explore around nepal.
may be becasue it too short , as i felt. but surely the video was greatly captured
To the lovely people of Nepal, please keep your environment clean. Please don’t leave trash where it doesn’t belong. Your environment is your livelihood. Take care of it. God bless Nepal and Nepalese.
I’m from Nepal but haven’t gone back once in 11 years and watching this video reminds me of my childhood. Will go to base camp when I go back. Video is as amazing as you are. 👍❤️👍
Aww thanks! I hope you get to return to your beautiful country someday soon!
Everest view hotel is high class. I had tea there once couldn't afford to stay there.
We figured the $5 per night spent at all the lodges on the trail saved us an average of ~$50-60 a night of what a hotel *would* have cost, so we went ahead and sprung for a night there. Totally worth the money for the heated blanket, haha! But really, the breakfast was amazing and the crowds did roll in after a few hours.
Thanks bro for exploring my country Nepal(kathmandu)

We loved it so much 😁
Your channel deserves to become huge. Although I like being part of a cult club at the moment. Keep it up!
That’s the best compliment! We’re just enjoying the travels and making videos - if it goes big, great! If not, we have home videos of all of our adventures for later in life 👍 it’s a win-win 😎
Not "if" you meant to say "when" it goes big!!! #rookiesoftheyear ⛹️♂️⛹️♀️
Haha, thanks again! If any of your friends like cinematic/story type of travel vids, please share!!
wow, nice job. I love watching your video.
Great gesture to hike
You know when you doze off sometimes in the middle of the day and you have that amazing dream where you do amazing stuff over days and days and suddenly you wake up and realise you only dozed off for like five minutes. The video seemed just like that. Showing all that you experienced on the trek over several days and experiences in this short video is dreamy. I am from Nepal, currently in Florida and I have been to Solu, the lower part of the trek you just made. I have not made this particular trek but will definitely someday when I go back. I would recommend you trek Dolpo region, the hidden shangrila of Nepal. It's not really that popular with foreign tourists as there are not many amenities on the way but the people, the mystic Tibetan culture and the amazing landscape makes up for all the hardships. But you will definitely have to get a guide for that. I loved your video. I miss the chilly mountain nights sometimes here in hot and humid Florida. Your video brought back memories. Thank you guys!!!
Great to see the Nepal Himalayan mountains again. In 2018, I trekked from Jiri to Lukla.
really enjoyed the video. well done.
I am from nepal and i m still dreaming to visit those places…loved your video

Sketchy airport for sure! I've seen some wild videos. This is another bucket list item! Wish I had had the opportunity to do it when I was young and not broken. Nice!

Beautiful place and beautiful couple.
I go to Nepal every year for the trek but I haven’t yet explored this part yet.
I don’t believe how this was just recommended....cool vlog...
Love from Nepal.🇳🇵❣️
Thank you so much!!
Amazing 👏
Exactly, there are many hiking routes and places to explore. 🙏🙏🙏
You made a mistake by choosing the month of April for this trip. The perfect season for visiting this region is during the early winter. No visible clouds, fogs or mist. But I don't think the weather would've mattered if you guys ventured a little further maybe like Lobouche or Dingboche.Overall, great video , definitely a great choice.
But don’t most summiters go in May because weather is clear?
@@BottomLineUpFront Climbing 8000 metre high peaks is subtly different to trekking lower down. In 2018 I trekked the Annuprna Circuit and 2019 Everest base camp and Gokyo. Both trips were late November, early to mid December. Fantastic, beautiful clear weather. Not a hint of rain, no mist or low clouds. For EBC we walked from Phaplu after getting a bus from Kathmandu. I think you miss a hell of a lot by simply flying into Lukla. Sure, it's an experience but so is the longer walk (and the bus ride!). Go back. Go to Gokyo and EBC. Go walk the Annapuna circuit. just a short trip to the top of Namche is not a trek. :-)
@@BottomLineUpFront It may be because in Late April, Early May there is lower chances of Avalanches. It is supposed to be relatively clear though. June - Sept is technically the wet season so you want to avoid that. However, you can get rain anytime the mountain decides.
Amazing
Another great video. My wife and I went to Mt. Everest Base Camp almost exactly a year ago. The hike up to the Everest View Hotel (to acclimatize) was magnificent (and a good morning's workout). The Khumbu Ice Flow was pretty amazing too. I found your channel because we're going to do the last half of the Camino de Santiago in May. We did Kilimanjaro in February 2015 and the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in June 2017. Judging from your past adventures, you will do the Inca Trail too. I'm having a lot of fun in my semi-retirement doing the things I couldn't do at your age. Keep traveling and I'll keep watching. Thanks.
That’s awesome!! Glad you found us and glad you are out there adventuring as well! 😎
Cinematography is awesome 👏
Great film, I really enjoyed watching it
Thanks Paul! Hopefully it makes ya think about making a trip to hike this part of the world if you haven’t already 😁

That puppy eyes were 😍
I've been in states for like more than 3 years now and haven’t visited Nepal in between. Watching your video/Documentary about my country(Nepal) really gave me goosebumps and the nostalgia as if I was there in person. Really loved your work, and you guys got a new Audience/fan from today :) .
Thanks so much for watching! 😁
@@BottomLineUpFront we don't know how to fix a love that spouse is adamant I broke
Wow No words
Very nice video..liked n subscribed
Love this vlogs... 😍😍😍
Well present😍👏👏
Wonderfully filmed. I did EBC in 2010 and everything looks more or less the same. It’s truly a gorgeous place. I’ll probably be heading back in 2020 for a 10 year “anniversary”.
As an aviator; I’ll never forget the landing in Lukla; it’s much easier to land a 250ton aircraft! I’ll have to muster up the courage to sit through that landing again.
Thanks for the brilliant cinematography; it brought back memories. 👌
As soon as we left we were trying to plan out when we could come back - such a magical place on earth that so many people don’t know about yet 😊
Love from Nepal 🇳🇵❤️❤️🙏
Nice video
