I remember an interview on BET years ago when the interviewer asked Denzel Washington why he picked Pauletta as his wife. Almost as to say, why would he pick somebody that is not Beautiful by Hollywood's standards. And Denzel replied in a forceful yet classy way. He basically said that a lot of Hollywood actors like to go for nearly white or light skinned women as a standard of absolute beauty, but he preferred women of color and that is who his wife is. He mentioned that he was blessed to have her because she was an accomplished piano savant and came from a very good family. The interviewer felt so ashamed by asking. His face was priceless. That is when Denzel earned all of my respect.

well that was many many years ago and hopefully he learned how wrong that was, especially since he is still married and nothing has been brought up since that time. I know many men who practiced the same behavior when they were getting into the working world or starting in their profession and they're nothing like that person they were , now.
I would surely hope so, but it is not him who has to change. The Hollywood Community who has the power to brake or make you calls the shots, maybe if it was for that he and others wouldn't have engaged. This is separate from marriage. " Mark Twain" also. knocked it out the park when he was quoted as saying, " a good marriage is a union between two (2) good forgivers ". It also helps to be your own man ( which he is ) in an infested hollywood milieu. When you have worked hard to horn your craft the way the brother has, you are not inclined to sleep around, snort around, kiss ass, and be pressured into partying all the time to get a gig. The gig has to meet you on your terms to get consistent " box office draw". Good lesson to young people. Burn the midnight oil, study, be well read and and passionate about your trade.
