You will only need to do this when its really dirty under the rice cooker burner or when you need to fix a rice cooker , I hope this video is useful to you .
Wonderful job!! Thank you so very much for sharing this extremely helpful video. I was literally ready to throw it away but thanks to this very good video, I did it!😊 You are so very kind and patient, God bless you and your sweet baby 😊
Of course no one can afford to replace their cooker right now. This was exactly what I needed: thanks so much for taking the time to make a real-time video of taking apart to clean the food out. You saved me big time. Yaaaaay!
Thank you. I have an Aroma arc-838tc and thought it was one of those type of appliances that are glued shut and require breaking to get inside. Thanks for helping me find that elusive screw that holds it together. Apparently it's in the same area as your model.
Greetings and a million thanks for posting this. I have the Aroma Professional Plus (ARC-5000SB), which is slightly different in that there is a pair of wires that goes from the electronics at the bottom to the lid. So, while removing the lid's screw as you do here works exactly as such, for my model you still have to remove the bottom in order to disconnect those wires from the board. Nonetheless, your instructions were spot on and extremely helpful. For one, it would have taken me forever to find the screw under the silver label. Wish the piece under the lid was removable; seems so likely to get dirty (an overnight bean soup did that for me). Oh!... and loved the editorial comments and questions from your daughter! Again, thanks!
aww you are so very welcome, I have been having this one for a long time and i only use it for making rice now, i wish the same thing, i wish the top part comes off with a click or something, it would make a huge difference clenaing it
hey i remember once cooked rice worth steaming some broccoli on the top and it left a strong broccoli smell after, i really didn't like it so never used it to steam anything again. If you can keep the lip just opened a crack all the time when not using it helps to rease away the smell. Some rice cooker has a top that needs to be taken apart to wash mine doesn't. Well i wish i could take it apart to wash tho
I too own the ARC-5000SB and really like it a lot! Thanks for the comment about the difference in the model, and what to do in case you need to clean it. Hopefully I won't ever have to, but sometimes.......
This helped me so much! I accidentally dumped my dry rice into the rice cooker without the bowl because i wasn’t thinking and no matter how much i shook there was still rice stuck in the heating compartment.
Thanks for the instructive video. I recall you mentioning that your rice cooker "stank." In my case, I get the feeling that anything I cook with mine takes on a peculiar taste. I have yet to clean in and noticed a lot of "sludge" collected behind the transparent plastic. Have you experienced anything similar, where the food cooked absorbs some kind of flavor due to being cooked in one of these? Also, if you take a look at the lid after popping out that plastic diffuser (sticking down on the inside of the lid, when the lid is closed), you notice that it is hollowed out -- meaning, anything that foamed up while it was cooking may have entered that cavity as well (from there it goes into that overflow compartment next to the hinge). You can't really get to that hollow space inside the lid, but it's probably still a good idea to clean. Any thoughts on what to use? I've been thinking about what I could use that might clean the compartment as part of the cooking process (e.g. adding it to water, then running the steamer for a while). Vinegar was the first thing that came to mind, but apparently that produces toxic fumes, so you have to be careful (i.e. dilute with a lot of water, then open nearby windows and step away).
the smell came from the rice porridge that over flooded into the bottom part, it was wet first then became stinky with warm temp, other than that it was ok. my lid is also easy to clean, nothing really goes inside of it :)
There are cables that connect the lid to the cooker. The cooker u are working on doesn't seem to have them. How does your lid pop off completely without cables? I think this one was already disassembled and cables already removed
@@onix_2212 No. I tried take the lid apart but the cables are not long enough to be able to work. I ended up buying the same rice cooker for under $40 to avoid de headache. I think it's a bad design, those cables will inevitably break from normal use. Good luck
Thank you for the the video. What a patient mother to keep your child involved through the video.

I just dumped 2 cups of rice into my cooker of the same model, this video helped me get it all out of there!
I am glad it helped you!😁
Thank you for showing me how to clean the lid

Fantastic job and you are clearly a great inspiration for your future engineer daughter.

Thanks for the video. You are a gem
Thank you so much! Very helpful.
This really helped! I have a coccaroach infestation and some of them located inside of it
Thanks from Colombia
Very good video. Thank you
You're awesome. I'm nowhere as clean as you, I want to know how to clean the vent from building up from cooking black rice. Thanks. ✌🏿
If it's stained then the color might not come off otherwise soak it in the White vinegar that should help
You’re awesome!😅👍❤️
Very very very good
Thanks!😄

Hi your video is helpful , I’m trying to get the lid off but I am not able to , can you help ??
Hi 👋 what kind rice Cooker do you have
You are so good! How do you pull off the steam vent? Mine seemed stuck.
Mine just comes right off when you pull, what kind rice Cooker do you have?
Same model. Yes, you are right, it sure works like suggested. Thanks!
❤️
1:18 I have lost this screw. Where and what type of screw should I purchase as replacement.
Hi my lid is not coming off
The fact that you have to unscrew and take it appart to clean it... if I knew before, I would have bought another brand.
There are cables that connect the lid to the cooker. The cooker u are working on doesn't seem to have them. How does your lid pop off completely without cables? I think this one was already disassembled and cables already removed
Hi, I have the same issue. Did u figure it out how to remove the cable without messing it up?

I think it is better to have a photo before taking parts apart, that will make it much easier for you for putting parts back together.
I had my phone recording didn't take any pictures, but good idea😁
This would have went so much faster if you did while the baby was napping
What alot of work to just clean this thing.... ughhh
I can't....
