Played that map many many times and never figured out everything to do and/or how to do the different stuff on that map particularly. I played it the other day and had forgotten what all I need to do to get the stuff you show in this video. I just ended up playing outbreak again bc I felt lost playing this zombies map/mode. Great video as always!
That's a GOOD thing! The fun of round-based is being able to revisit the map and uncover more and more about it. There are easter eggs that I show off in all these videos that some people don't even know about! It's really cool!

One thing i once saw someone do to get ring of fire back is to use decoy + semtex, that way you don't spend salvage and also i heard that kazimirs can crash your game for the very high round attempts
This video perfectly highlights the difference between round based mode and unstable rift. Here you can do the same stuff for a hundred rounds while in unstable rift it's only five rounds. See, big difference! 😂
My "trolling" or "sarcasm" detector might not be working lol... But genuinely, yes. There is a HUGE difference! This game I began with absolutely nothing, ranked up everything, earned everything I needed. I used a few side quests (the Free Jugg and Dead Wire Satelites) to help get setup. There are MULTIPLE viable strategies, you saw I could easily train in the spawn room (there are TONS of other training/camping spots) There are even more side quests There are even more Wonder Weapon Variants We didn't even touch the main quest whatsoever Plus this whole map has an entire storyline with characters and a series of events. The exfil mechanic allows you to leave at whatever time you want. The resource management with your field upgrade, health, equipment, etc. There was that Orda easter egg at a high round in the Dark Aether. And that's just Die Maschine, not even talking about other round-based maps with characters and pack a paunch quests and so many more things to do. I love round-based. I cannot wait for BO6!
@@Doughnuts @Doughnuts well, yeah! I'm not really pointing to the first few rounds where you're able to get stuff or upgrade weapons. It's more a comparison from level, say, 50. As a player you already have everything, you've already completed your side quest(s). All you do is run around and kill zombies. The whole objective is to repeat it a round after round, so you can get to the next one. Then, you do it again. In essence you can do it for 50 rounds (if we stick to the example of starting from round 50). In unstable rift, what happens? You started with contracts on a regular map, then you need to do the obelisks to open your unstable rift (that's the equivalent of side quest since it's optional). Only after leveling up and getting essence, and after having found and completed the obelisks people usually go into the unstable rift. (yes, you can go directly since you get the perks and PAP weapons there, I know, but that's a feature of mwz, and beside the point). Once inside the rift, all you do is run around and kill zombies so you can get to the next round. Yes, it's not a kill count but a time limit, but, again, that beside the point. My point was that you do the same things in both the unstable rift and round based - you run around and kill zombies to progress to the next round. In round based game of yours, ie. Die Machine, you could do it for 5/10/50/100, etc rounds. In unstable rift, only for five rounds. Essentially no difference but the count of rounds. So, that was my sarcastic comparison of those two experiences. Edit: mwz also has a story line, and different DA maps, different weapons, and multiple zones with different contracts that you can choose to do or not. In MWZ you can also exfil anytime provided it's before the storm closes in. In Die machine, after round 20 in Unlimited rounds game, you can't exfil anytime. You need to wait for certain rounds. Why do you need to expand the comparison to the story, maps, etc.? It's irrelevant - you're comparing apples to oranges. My comparison was strictly between the fulfillment of higher rounds. If unstable rift had unlimited rounds you'd continue in the same manner there just like you do in round based games. From the video you uploaded, it's clear that you're only playing to get to higher rounds. You're NOT playing it to further the story. After, say, round 50, you're NOT playing it to get another gun. The side quest you did, you did it to get the guns but reaching higher rounds in your video isn't about anything else but reaching higher rounds. (if you play it differently it could be potentially about completing an EE, ie. Megaton, which is that game's ending part, just like killing the final disciple is in unstable rift). So strictly speaking, the unstable rift with its five rounds offers VERY SIMILAR if not identical experience to the experience presented in your uploaded video after you reach higher rounds, such as round 50. The only difference is that Unstable rift is limited to five rounds while your game (as presented in the uploas) is much longer or unlimited. That was my sarcasm covered point! I'm NOT comparing one small Unstable Rift experience to the experience of the whole Cold War's zombies mode with its multiple maps, other zombie modes, etc. If I DID compare the whole experience of CW zombies to Unstable rift, I'd have to agree with you that is not the same and that round-based mode in Cold War edition of Call of Duty isn't the same as one small portion of round based experience in MWIII edition of COD. I can agree with you there.

In your uploaded video, which is one portion of game play available in CW zombies, that's all you do. You're killing zombies running around. That's exactly what you do in unstable rift. After, and only after, you managed to open the rift. Once you open the rift, you're just killing zombies running around. In your video, you spent, say, 50 rounds running around and killing zombies. In the unstable rift you can only do 5 rounds. We're comparing principles, not details. If you want to compare details, then none of the zombie modes are exactly the same. Some had gobble gums, some didn't. Some had interactive elements, some didn't. Nonetheless, in principle, they're all about killing zombies and getting to the next level or goal. I guess we both talk about the sane thing with different perspectives and therefore we can't agree. It's like those math questions where people reach different solutions because they apply different but equally valid methods. You know, 6+3:3=? One of us says it's 3 while the other screams it's 7. the die wonder weapon errors your game every single time after about 7 hours of gameplay on solo, and 3 and a half on 2p. do not use this method longer than 5 hours on solo or 3 hours on co op or you guaranteed error
One of my favorite maps! I also liked outbreak and I think world at war or whatever map had the zeppelin. I just didn't know what to do after killing the big zombination boss around round 25
To me the easiest map, if you made a circle was Der Riese, to run around and look back to kill zombies with the Thunder Gun in BO1 was great, honestly I was trained on World at War and Cold War onslaught
@@Doughnuts thanks for the reply I was literally watching your new video for season 5 a moment ago, i will not lie there was a glitch with the field upgrades I cannot remember which one it was it’s been so long it was the green one I do remember and you could basically just set there for infinity without even being at the game killing zombies I think it took 8 hours or so probably it was overnight so maybe not even that long
If you activate the pact you get a higher tier gun if you do all 6 Easter eggs and activate the pact you get purple starting tier weapon and a bunch of calling cards and emblems
If you want to be able to do the triangles I’m pretty sure you might want to try starting a brand new accountAnd you’ll have less people in the red zone
I loaded up my Cold War Zombies the other day to give round based another few tries - hard to see the objective other than stay alive, why I only got into Zombies in MW3. I was running around wondering what to do and nothing is very well marked out on the map. No idea how to get ammo, how the PAP machine works, didnt even find the tools. After watching this video will try again as I'm wanting to prep for BO6 and give it a fair try. I hope they make it more objective based tho rather than a stay alive session.

I need some help if that’s alright, I have just gotten Cold War and I am playing zombies and I am very bad, but I can only see the combat knife in the melee section, there is no other weapon quest visible. Do you know why?
allow me to say no matter what the strat is , round base is boring , nothing can change my mind ! open world was the best thing happened to zombies and I hope they bring it back in some shape or form in BO6 , I respect everyone's opinion and all round base lovers , but it is not for everyone and call of duty should acknowledge that and give everybody a piece of what they love! so why not having both experiences like in cold war we had both round based and outbreak , MWZ for me is the perfect formula for zombies , they just need to give it some love and update the mode with more story missions , more easter eggs , more maps (Al mazrah,rebirth island,fortunes keep,vondel they can even bring back ashika) so much potential
You could say that about literally every video game... MWZ,I got all schematics. What's the point in playing anymore? Why would I do anything with my good loot if I already have the best? There's no point.
Have you played it? It's really fun to have all the stakes run on how well you execute your strategy. Knowing if you die, you lose everything and have to start over is very exciting!
super boring going to high rounds this way just sitting in one spot and shooting it makes the high round stuff really painful to watch or play that way!! So So much more fun to always be moving throughout the map to always be training in different spots makes the game way more fun and less boring as ya always gotta be on your toes not just mindlessly shooting while standing in one spot! Takes way more skill to always be moving and training in new places
Did you see what happens when I didn't pay attention? It requires you to be paying attention still. Camping actually requires better reaction times than training, arguably. Even though I do prefer training myself...

Cold War might be really easy and Die Maschine simple. I really enjoyed Die Maschine being the first main quest I did!

All six main quests are quite a grind. Wish the reward was a little better than the pact and a calling card.

Have you played it? It's really fun to have all the stakes run on how well you execute your strategy. Knowing if you die, you lose everything and have to start over is very exciting!
super boring going to high rounds this way just sitting in one spot and shooting it makes the high round stuff really painful to watch or play that way!! So So much more fun to always be moving throughout the map to always be training in different spots makes the game way more fun and less boring as ya always gotta be on your toes not just mindlessly shooting while standing in one spot! Takes way more skill to always be moving and training in new places
Did you see what happens when I didn't pay attention? It requires you to be paying attention still. Camping actually requires better reaction times than training, arguably.
Even though I do prefer training myself...
@@Doughnuts Hey doughnuts my apologies I should've made it more clear that I wasn't trying to knock it or anything like that as I enjoy round base for certain things, I also should've been more clear that I ment to each his own of course as different people like and enjoy different things that's what makes the world such a cool and unique place. I'm just not always the best at putting into words what I'm trying to say the 1st go round always. So I wasn't trying to knock you or put you down in any way. 🤜🤛. Hope this makes things clearer. I just love talking about zombies lol! I always thought training was safer but slower and camping was faster but more intense and demanded more attention.
