I grew up in Northumberland just a couple mile outside of Newcastle and was brought up on stories of Lee Duffy and viv Graham, big billy for Gateshead, the sayers, the Conroy's, the tams, the Harrison's ect, .. my dad worked on the doors for ViV for a time he worked allover Newcastle but got stopped when the law brought the licences in were you couldn't of been to prison and work the doors any more and the assault on a police officer charge didn't help either 😂 but everyone in the local bought him a pint for that 🤣😂
I live in UK for over 11 years and I'm British citizen now, but I have to really put effort into listening this fella in order to understand him. I'm glad that I do not live in the North, would struggle bit time with this accent.

Let's get this real here ! Everybody new that Viv was away from the pubs and clubs on a Sunday ! He was never in town on a Sunday YET this was the only time that Duffy went into Newcastle and started trouble if he wanted Viv that bad all he had to do was rock up on a Friday or a Saturday but he was never in town then and Sayers was spending most of his time trying to find somebody like Duffy to deal with Viv because he did not have the gonads to front Viv himself..
Maybe Viv wasn't too keen to see him either or else he'd make a special trip to make sure he was found
Lol duffy was fearless. ..he would turn up places on his todd and ko a few people stiff
going off the cctv viv threw about 7 or 8 left hooks only the first properly connected didn't appear to have much technical skill or fight i.q. and was a suprsingly small bloke

Viv was small but he was knocking out burly 6 footers for fun that is why he was top dog in Newcastle for so long and why the Sayers were courting Duffy to take him on.

I watched a few Brian Cockerill videos because the man is so entertaining, primarily because he's such an obvious liar who embellishes everything he says. Lee Duffy was an absolute monster - became britains hardest street fighter during the 80s at a very young age - would turn a whole city on lockdown - he is a throwback to the time when one man could be an army, will never happen again, he was the last one
