After a fee failed attempts I DID IT!!!
*THE TRICK is to NOT fold the edges tightly or sharply. Just kind of fold them softly so they just stay in shape. When you press the sides in make sure your fingers are holding the Then the puff is easier to achieve!

Dude it’s alright, you’re not a failure
its super deceiving the thing can be a really big pain to make look nice. you are not a failure just because you can't do origami, its a skill that takes time don't beat yourself up over it.

Here’s a tip on how to make a star! (Only one side sadly-)
Cute out a pentagon and then push the sides in almost the middle
of the pentagon. Your welcome!

You fold it carefully... I had trouble finding paper that length!

I tried this but when i pushed the paper in to make a dent, it didn't exactly worked.
this is a year late but when ur folding stars with softer paper try not to press down on the pentagon during the process or else the last steps not gonna work

You have to push the paper all the way inside,not only with the exterior layers, at least that was my problem
Crease as light as possible. That’s the trick.

is the small star hard for you ? Cause I see most people struggle on the pinching part
i have to make a bunch of these for class and to learn the process, here's a few things i had to learn:
- do not fold the edges too sharply because it wont let them expand! but you also have to make sure you don't over-do this because it'll end up having openings in the corners
- use a thinner type of paper, printer paper is the perfect thinness, the toned tan paper and cardstock i used was too thick
First time, had a hard time making it puffy. Second time, followed guidance below to fold lightly/loosely, and it worked much better.
I remember when the original video came out back in the day when I used to be obsessed with origami. Good times...

I only do origami with squares and rectangles, so when i saw the 1x20cm strip, i died.

I made over 100 lucky stars for a party. Hard but now I am specialist at making lucky stars❤😎
The alternative way I used to do to push the paper to make a dent is I use the edge of a scissors.
I follow along, not to copy but to get a better understanding of techniques for models that I make :D

dude since i was born, my sisters and mom were making a bunch of em and also putting them in a star jar and in different paper!
These stars turn out really well when you use 20 cm paper. I however only have 15 cm paper. They're just a little weak, but a bit of coaxing makes them look, presentable?

Before this video arrived I was starting to think that you just couldn't make something easy.
OK.....I had found many good channels but Ur's is the best
the trick to making even stars, which I was having trouble with, is to use your nail to push in the sides not your fingertips (like I was doing)
