You need to go to Sugam in Silom! I am an Indian food junkie and almost retired chef. South Indian is my favorite cuisine! Masala dosa, Idli and Thali is sooooo good there. Mostly Veg. Very homely style.I am surprised the area is not also known as little India as the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple is also on that street. Pan Rd. Many awesome restaurants to be found around that temple area! We have been to the place you are eating at now and it is also super yummy. Love to follow your travels. Cheers!

Hi Chris, food looks amazing! The BTS and MRT distinction is outdated now as the MRT lines go above ground as well, an easier distinction is MRT and BTS are run by two different companies.

Hi there, We live in the same area as you. My wife saw you cross street last week 😌. Thank for share the india restaurant and how to get there. We will try soon.
I'm not sure that you like Japanese ramen or not. But if you do. I recommend the one call "Bankara Ramen" in deep Sukhumvit 39. (They have branch in major department store too but not as good as this original place).
There raman is thick soup with heavy taste. The Kakuni (stream pork belly) is the must. I recommend Kakuni Bankara ramen, also you should try Tsukemen (dry ramen with dip soup).

I'm ashamed to say this: After visiting Thailand (and BKK) since 2004, I never knew there was a little india. I knew about the LI in KL and Singapore, but not BKK. I usually go to the arab quarter on soi 3 for my indian and middle eastern food. Certainly appreciate you edifying me. Someone mentioned Dosa King, I can vouch for that place. Very good southern indian vegetarian. Also "AL Hussein" on soi 3 for excellent middle eastern as well as indian. Just found your channel, I really like it. Keep up the good work. I should have my O-A visa in about 6 months. Can't wait to get back to BKK.

Went there last night. Spent 230 baht on 2 dishes, 4 roti and a water. Portions very small, not worth it. Only the "Chili Chicken" was decent, the "Fried Fish w/ Rice" was not very good at all. Left feeling like I could have eating a lot more. They serve street food at jacked prices and don't have a toilet. For the price they should have a proper restaurant with indoor seating and aircon. *I don't recommend this place*, although I'm glad I tried it.

I love those street Somosas and you should check out Punjabi Sweets just across the street.

Really enjoyed this....wish it’d been longer! When I lived in Pratunam (in Bangkok) I would go to a hole-in-the-wall place called Everest which served serviceable South Asian thali meals I was thankful for. Had I known about this Little India I would have ventured there! Also enjoyed your panning cityscape textural shots & rain footage.
