This video is a special edit of The Way of Love (Gaia, 2012) featuring *Olivia Newton-John's Testimony to Congress: Winning the War on Cancer that took place on May 29, 1997. Olivia was, indeed, a courageous woman and her testimony is so inspiring! You can read Olivia's entire testimony (also, Sally Field, Diane Keaton and others) at the link below. The video begins with John Easterling speaking at the State Memorial Service for Dame Olivia Newton-John AC DBE in Melbourne on February 26, 2023 and describing Olivia was the most courageous woman he's ever met.
The Way of Love was originally released on the album Gaia - One Woman's Journey in 1994. The album was also re-released in 2012 and 2022 (remastered). Olivia wrote all the songs on the Gaia album including The Way of Love, and backing vocals are Olivia's daughter Chloe and her schoolmates Rous School Choir! This year/2024 celebrates the 30th anniversary of the album Gaia since its original release (1994).
In the 2012 special edition of the Gaia CD given to all guests at Olivia's Gaia Retreat and Spa in New South Wales, Australia, Olivia wrote, "I recorded this CD in 1994 while staying at my farm near Byron Bay. It was my way of healing after breast cancer in 1992. This album serves as a reminder of my passage, appreciation and gratitude for life - my One Woman's Journey."
