MEOVV, pronounced in Korean as "miyao", is a 5th gen K-POP girl group under TheBlackLabel and MEOVV is their first group. The most popular artists currently under TheBlackLabel is Taeyang of BigBang, Rosé of Blackpink, and Jeon Somi.
TheBlackLabel is an affiliate at YG Entertainment and is mostly known because it was founded and run by Teddy.
Teddy was the leader, rapper, songwriter, and producer of 1TYM, a 1st gen K-POP boy group under YG Entertainment. After 1TYM disbanded due to the members leaving to do their mandatory military service, Teddy became a full time producer at YG Entertainment. That lead to Teddy being the Main Producer & Creative Director for 2NE1 & Blackpink.
When TheBlackLabel finalized their change from being a subsidiary of YG Entertainment to being an affiliate at YG Entertainment, Teddy announced that he had been developing his own girl group and TheBlackLabel confirmed that they had idol trainees that had been previously signed on as models, actresses, and dancers due to being prohibited from having idol trainees while they were a subsidiary of YG Entertainment. TheBlackLabel then started their move out of the old YG building to a new building that has nothing to do with YG Entertainment. At a recent shareholders meeting, Teddy revealed that TheBlackLabel will be fully independent of YG Entertainment within the next two years.

Gawon, the second revealed member. Born in 2005, Lee Ga-Won aka Chloe Lee is Korean-American (Korean decent). She was a model under an American agency and she joined YG Entertainment in 2019 as a trainee, then left YG Entertainment after being eliminated from the Babymonster project in 2021. She signed with TheBlackLabel in 2021 as a model. While under TheBlackLabel, she modeled for Adidas. Confirmed to be a TheBlackLabel trainee in 2022.
Anna, the fourth revealed member. Born in 2005, Tanaka Anna is Japanese. She was a model and actress under a Japanese agency and she signed with TheBlackLabel in 2019 as an actress and model. While under TheBlackLabel, she acted in two Japanese tv shows. Confirmed to be a TheBlackLabel trainee in 2023.
Ella, the first revealed member. Born in 2008, Ella Gross is Korean-American (German decent). She was a model under an American agency and she signed with TheBlackLabel in 2018 as a model and actress. While under TheBlackLabel, she modeled for Adidas and she acted in six American tv shows. Confirmed to be a TheBlackLabel trainee in 2022. Curently has over 4 million followers on Instagram.
Narin, the fifth revealed member. Born in 2007, Na Rin is Korean. Unknown when she signed with TheBlackLabel.
Sooin, the third revealed member. Born in 2005, Kim Soo-In is Korean. She signed with TheBlackLabel in 2019 as an actress and dancer. Confirmed to be a TheBlackLabel trainee in 2022.
