You worked your butt off on this one! I enjoyed this video. Your mower did a h*ll of a good job given how tall that grass was. That was not a yard. I looked like acres to me. I'm in my 70's and have done work like this for years. Here is a suggestion. Walk the place before you venture in with your equipment. I bet that ground was pretty spongy from all that rain. The other concern is the tow truck trying to pull your Dodge from the side. Not good for the lawn, not good on your truck. It's always easier to let the tires help by minimizing drag and resistance. Good mowing!
An awesome effort with great results! Consider manual tool back-ups. A sharp full handle half-moon edger will save your equipment and back. I'm waiting anxiously for the next episode of your adventure.

High cut first and lower cut to finish. If you start on a low cut in wet grass then blades dull quicker and you will get stuck. I learnt that lesson 40years ago !

Glad you got that job finished. I thought I had seen locks in both gates, but obviously it was just the gate on the other end of the house that may have had a lock. Don't feel bad about getting stuck. I had to block traffic so a tow truck could pull a man's truck out of the ditch in front of his house twice in one day. No, he hadn't been drinking. Just tried to turn into his driveway about 10 feet too soon...once each from different directions.

Make a equiptment list and make sure have spare parts including spare belt for mower and extra edger blade and especially both kinds of fuel! Bad time to run out of string! New item available from stihl corp. is steel blade for trimmers in place of string! Successful and moneymaking mowing companies buy cheap 55 gallon grocery store trash bags and pickup all trash and pickup all clippings!
