For the Tesla model S Plaid only does the sub 2 seconds, under a narrow set of circumstances. Pre-prepped surfaces, set up time, cheater stance & with a 1 foot roll out, so no under regular use good luck with sub 2 seconds.
I’m still in the considering phase. What I’m currently paying in payment plus gas monthly is $900+-. And that’s only driving to and from work twice per week and whatever I’m driving sets in the parking lot up to 3 days straight and doesn’t move. I’m curious how well the charge holds up when left setting unplugged for days at a time and what effects really hot and pretty damn cold has on charge retention. I live just south of your location down here just east of Nashville. The Model Y performance is only about $80 a month higher than my current Lexus. Curious about drive motor replacements, how well the shocks, tie rods and the rest of the steering and suspension hold up with them being as heavy as they are.
Great info. I'm in the process of making a decision and this is very helpful. I know the self driving option isn't available yet, but this is a huge interest for me. My son is autistic and pretty high functioning and future driving and work options are a concern. The self driving option could help solve his transportation needs and help with him being more independent. Any thoughts on this? If this works it could be a huge plus for the community.
I will wait for Teslas 2 different compacts. I will probably buy one of them after research & test-drive etc. The Semi is manufactured NOW, you missed that one.

Oops I sent it before I was finished I have been entering the omaze contest non-stop in hopes of winning one of those vehicles so that I can just take the cash alternative for any of them and buy a Tesla but apparently having your own UA-cam channel is the quicker more reliable way of being able to receive a Tesla through referrals which is really an incredibly wonderful idea for people out here like me who just don't make the money to afford one but I drove one thankfully they don't discriminate economically at the dealerships they don't even check your credit or anything or background check and and anyone can show your car insurance verification and license and you can drive yourself a model 3 I think what I want to do is go into the dealership and drive a model s and experience the things that you showed in your video and I am Syfy also so I think I can get used to that yoke steering wheel!
Can you address some of the safety concerns with autopilot (e.g. phantom breaking) raised in recent reviews (CNET) and long form reporting from the NYT?
Random question, but I respect your opinion. If you were buying a new Model 3, would you be the RWD with LFP or the Long Range for $10K more? I go back and forth. Would love your honest opinion. Thanks!

I had signed up for the $35.000 Tesla at the very beginning before any vehicle were on the road. My friends paid closer to 50K and the quality was very poor. He had so many issues with workmanship. I never purchased a Tesla and glad I did not. I still have my prius that has continued to provide adequate transportation with over 40 plus miles per gallon. My auto insurance is very affordable. My friend pays so much more for $1 million dollar liability insurance that I have. I am waiting for the $7500 federal tax credit to return by the end of 2023 for EV produced in North America which includes mexico and canada. IMO.
2022 is a big year for BEV launches, and Tesla is going to face more competition finally, like REAL competition. This isn't competition in how many vehicles a company can make because Tesla is far ahead of any company outside of China. But Tesla is going to have to get better at quality issues with the build, etc.... and that's what I look forward to seeing. With Hyundai and Kia, they put out some impressive BEVs and Tesla better pay attention. I watch AutoTrader. He wasn't very impressed with the Model Y, but he really enjoyed the Ioniq 5 and EV6. He's a car person, not a technology person. That should say something.
Funny how when you option OEM sport wheels for $1500, you don't get to keep the standards wheels as a winter backup rims. Better to go buy upsize rims aftermarket as they're generally better. I think that's the trade off you make when buying from a new brand. That's sort of the idea right, you buy a Tesla for cutting edge tech, new software, essentially beta testing. Comes with it's pros and cons, but you have Toyota and the hybrids sort of close the gap. I'm just curious to see where these traditional corporate giants go when they go all in on battery EVs. Imagine where their battery chemistry matches or does even better than Tesla, along with the car building experience they already have. The size that they're at, they can mass produce and bring it cheaper to consumers. Sounds great imo
I canceled Consumer Reports, they have sever conflicts of interest. Tesla has the highest ratings among actual consumers. My daughter and son in law each have a model 3. I have ordered a model y. Toyota is so far behind in technology for electric vehicles it will take years for them to catch, if they don’t go bankrupt first. I’m not against Toyota, I have a 4Runner now. I have had a Camry and 4 door trachoma. I bought all of them new. My wife drives the 4 runner with 161,000 miles and I can’t get her to buy a new car. Anyway good luck with the Toyota.
@@NipomoBeach I think it'd just be cool if a traditional manufacturer caught up to where Tesla is. In due time it will happen, even if they are behind at some point it'll get to the point where most consumers no longer care if it's the best, it's just usable and is fully integrated or familiar now. Would love if Tesla was more open with schematics and their parts, right to repair is a huge thing for me. If Tesla's reliability was truly perfect I wouldn't care to repair it myself I guess, but anything can break at anytime, Toyota not excluded.
I really like and enjoy Model 3 LR but wouldn't be surprised if my next car is Korean. I'm definitely not in a rush to change but I know the Model 3 will not change much for the next several years and frankly, I want more creature comforts, softer ride, driver display and a hud display with fancy graphics for direction. I'm really like the direction the Koreans have taken. I've learned that charging and range aren't the big deal I thought before I purchased. I can live with less range and more expensive public charging(not Supercharger).
@@lagunamusic7686 I'm an owner and Tesla investor but believe Elon has set a certain goal for the Model 3 that won't change substantially in the next few years. Not talking about ongoing minor fixes which I applaud but don't change anything substantially. Anyway, things change and so have my thoughts on my car. Instead of focusing on what it doesn't have, I've decided to do minor upgrades. I've added cubbyhole additions and think I'll be adding that Hansshow movable screen which will remove my #1 gripe, knee room. Truthfully, the ride only bothers me on rough roads so that's kinda a wash but I may go in for suspension fixes. That's somewhat questionable because finding a reliable shop to handle it may just be too much of a headache. I do love owning this superior automobile.
I'm about ready to order my 2nd Model 3, but I can't figure out if this is a good time. Should I now, or should I wait. Is the new battery coming soon? Any tax breaks cominng? Please help me Andy. Time for another video about timing your buy.
I've heard horror stories about Tesla owners not being able to get service or accident repair in a timely manner. 3 to 4 weeks just for them to get to your car.
Can't add/use a wireless keyboard for work, business or school for getting something done outside the brick and mortar. Then it's a computer on wheels.
I would love to buy tesla for my family but, I have not been able to find way to afford one... used ones sell for +30k and been driven +100 thousand KM...

Bro I’m so stupid I thought the least expensive one was 150,000$ and when I heard him say best for a family who doesn’t want to spend a fortune I was like what did he sayyyyyyy then I looked it up and was surprised
I own a body shop, we cannot get parts for Tesla vehicles. We have customers coming to us and we can't help them. Keep this in mind when you crash your Tesla, it's gonna be in the shop for a WHILE. Even if you take it to Tesla directly, they have a serious back order. The dealerships are a mess. Elon if you're reading this, please help.
I am only a child and I love your videos and I think you should sell 1 Roadster and buy a Model S with the money.
Definitely needed this video✅
The perfect buyer’s guide🇨🇦✅
I have a 7 seat Model Y on order for delivery in March 2022...very excited!
I also have a model Y on order, estimate delivery: Jan - Feb and regrets that I didn't choose the 3rd row seat for it's there when needed.
@@bac3phi I know you are probably excited to get your Model Y but if you don't NEED it right now and can wait a bit longer I would update your reservation to include the 7 seat option if you think you will use it. I have two young kids so it will definitely come in handy for me. I actually initially reserved a 5 seat as well but updated the reservation end of November to the 7 seat option. It initially pushed by delivery date back to June but then recently it was updated again to be March to April. I think it's too big of a purchase to have regrets about the configuration.
That car got SLAMMED by consumer reports. Cancel at once.
@@ericB3444 you have to do what works best for you. I have owned Tesla for 2.5 years. Had a Model 3 for 1.5 years - loved it - and moved up to a MYP - not looking back!
@@ericB3444 you clearly don’t own a Tesla. I love my model 3 and picking up a model Y in Feb. getting rid of all my ICE vehicles and never looking back.
They tend to change the color offers i paid for my midnight silver. Sometimes black is free and other times its white. Also 1.9 seconds is insane
I still look at videos in awe of the features of Teslas as if I don't yet own one even though I do!!
For the Tesla model S Plaid only does the sub 2 seconds, under a narrow set of circumstances.
Pre-prepped surfaces, set up time, cheater stance & with a 1 foot roll out, so no under regular use good luck with sub 2 seconds.
Just waiting for my cybertruck :)
Be sure to get the right one. Buy all four!👍
i can't wait to see what tesla will be in the future...lots of competion for EV! hope to stay with Tesla...love my 3 now!
Model S long range is great!
Purchased a Model 3. Loving it.
Great video. Very detailed and straight to the point. Thank you
Thanks for the informative video. Model 3 and S look very good.
I have a tesla myself and try my best to clean it. I would like to see your cleaning/ deep clean routine of your tesla!
Very useful and honest. Delivery times?
I’m still in the considering phase. What I’m currently paying in payment plus gas monthly is $900+-. And that’s only driving to and from work twice per week and whatever I’m driving sets in the parking lot up to 3 days straight and doesn’t move. I’m curious how well the charge holds up when left setting unplugged for days at a time and what effects really hot and pretty damn cold has on charge retention. I live just south of your location down here just east of Nashville. The Model Y performance is only about $80 a month higher than my current Lexus. Curious about drive motor replacements, how well the shocks, tie rods and the rest of the steering and suspension hold up with them being as heavy as they are.
i likes the white one
for it's design
Don't need any of the premium streaming EXCEPT live traffic. Wish they offered that extra by itself.
Super helpful video! Thanks alot!
Model 3 performance I think is the way I’m going to go comes with everything I want in my Tesla and it’s around the price I was looking to spend
All models very dependable car and save a lot of money
I have a 1999 honda civic ek hatch and is a huge jdm fan, but I'm also considering as my second car as a model s or a model 3.
Always felt if you're getting a Tesla without FSD, then why are you getting one. I still feel this way for I actually use the features I paid for
I will wait for Teslas 2 different compacts. I will probably buy one of them after research & test-drive etc.
The Semi is manufactured NOW, you missed that one.
Great video but I was disappointed with your take on the X. Was looking for more love for the X
I AM WAITING TO PICK UP MY MODEL 3 LONG RANGE BETWEEN JANUARY 19 TO FEBRUARY 16TH IN DEVON, PA. ANDY, SHOULD GO THROUGH WITH THE PURCHASE AND PICKUP, OR DELAY FOR 90 DAYS, DEEPER INTO 2022. THANK YOU!
I like how you casually mention getting 2 roadsters. Very unassuming
A data gathering machine and is hackable. Also good luck with a replacement battery
Thanks this helped me decied on a model Y, and it has been great so far!
Love your videos very informative and getting the cyber truck and the model S plaid
Thanks!
Imo get the dual range, more range, two batteries and awd
Love your videos
Thanks!
@@aslye yes keep on the good work 👍🏼
Great review. I am not a Tesla owner yet. This helped alot.
Thanks for watching!
update we your show & love spacex & we just got our S dual motor fsd while the tri/4? motor fsd cybertruck gets here. i'm all in TSLA & i love all Elon Musk does & will keep doing..we've drove from California to Boca Chica to see the Star Ship & it was so awesome to see it getting built in person!! we have LOTS of SOLAR & backup battery system to charge them both
I had signed up for the $35.000 Tesla at the very beginning before any vehicle were on the road. IMO.
Hey Andy, for the rebate program do you know if the model 3 has to be purchased in the year 2022 for the tax credit?
Yes. The rebate is based on the purchase date, not the order date
I’m thinking of going for the Y model,
I ordered the LR MY blue/black! Can’t wait!!
Planning to get that model 3 performance once they come out with the new batteries. Then someday I can get that roadster.
I need to be able to tow a dual axle 8 x 5 box trailer weighing 700kg, for 800km non-stop.
Which Tesla would be right for me?
Tesla model y is my dream car
The fact that you got TWO roadsters.. Lucky guy
excellent review on the Tesla Y
Funny how when you option OEM sport wheels for $1500, you don't get to keep the standards wheels as a winter backup rims. Better to go buy upsize rims aftermarket as they're generally better.

Confirms my purchase choice. Thanks, loving your videos!
Was shopping for a Y but seeing the brand so low on consumer reports made me second guess. I got a Rav4 Prime on order instead.
Toyota is desperate and paying ppl to write this
Gotta get what's best for you. Rav4 Prime looks solid. Hope it works out!
You really don’t know Tesla then. 😂
They’re constantly making changes and upgrades more than any other auto manufacturer. 🥴
Lol andy didn’t give 2 shits
I'm liking the Chevy Silverado EV truck
excellent review very helpful.
i wanna get a tesla model 3 when i'm 18 but it's pretty rare here in malaysia
Great video very informative thank you.
I've heard horror stories about Tesla owners not being able to get service or accident repair in a timely manner. 3 to 4 weeks just for them to get to your car.
I am a here to view the locations of the day. Okey thanks.
5' 6" is the max comfortable height for rear seat.
So much for those ultrasonic sensors
Can't add/use a wireless keyboard for work, business or school for getting something done outside the brick and mortar. Then it's a computer on wheels.
I would love to buy tesla for my family but, I have not been able to find way to afford one... used ones sell for +30k and been driven +100 thousand KM...
Good info.
