We definitely need a series that explores Souken's history and ideals. His death is tragic with even the Shinigami showing mournful respect. At least his ideas have survived and have settled in between both sides in the postwar era. Peace after endless bloodshed.
You want something impossible, we need hell arc to happend not this.

Imagine someone in Hell with a Flashback to battle with young Sternritter Soken... That could be FIRE...
Would LOVE more lore about Ancient Bleach stuff or Even the Réīô or just the First War... We'd all watch a show about Unohana as Kènpáchí and so on... We'd ALL Watch the Hell Arc... We'd ALL Watch MOST Stories about canon characters with interesting characterisation, backstories, Unsolved Mysteries and chances to further expand the Lore so the currently existing material Hits Harder... I mean itd get us all that much more upset any reread/rewatch seeing Soken getting killed by some... I dunno Adjuchas or Lower Level Hollows SOMEHOW.... He MUST Have done Something so he'd be HollowFood AND Not Yhwach-Fuel in Death...
I'd be compelled as hell to watch a show about Sokèn EVEN If it makes the Original Gôtéī into PROPER Villains in some ways til the Protagonist learns that His Majesty STARTED the Fight that he called a Brutal Massacre or whatever as though it should sound sympathetic and unprovoked savagery...
He's BASICALLY The Most Honourable ORIGINAL Quincy now... and THAT is Kinda Cool.. Seeing others commenting on him being friends with Gremmy or something and maybe being the Original Sternritter K or something and having made the 1st of what became BG9 which I think is super interesting an idea...
It would be Saddest if him and Gremmy were originally the same Age in their initial forms and Proper Friends but Time Changes people especially dependant upona lot of unusual things...
I want MORE Backstory to the Sternritters as well... Imagine the War and the Time in Shadows as Hidden Empire and so on... Its A LOT of Lore to work with in so many compelling ways with the Current Protagonists and their Ancestors as Functionally RIGHTFUL Villains we can be Excited to See until they kill sympathetic characters... Maybe with Mixed Feelings on some Quincies... Imagine Soken having More Positive Dialogue about the Elimination of Hollows in Emergency Situations for the Protection of Innocent Souls with a few original Gotéī willing to hear him out and some Agreeing and thinking its a shame that anyone have their soul eaten when they're meant to be a Quincy or a Soul Reaper Some Day... But that its Worse when they're People with NO Powers at all spiritually COMPLETELY Unaware anything is trying to Eat their soul...
Theres so much to work with around his Character that Im a LITTLE Sad we didnt get MORE Of his character from Quincy Flashback stuff... But a whole show DOES Sound more interesting especially if he Really is the Reason the Ishidas arent Dead from Auschwahlen etc. cause I always wondered how Ryuken wasnt Dead or Dropped in On like how they just pull up at Ichigo's House... Why werent they Terrorising the Hospital???
How many secret things did they do to Avoid His Majesty's Forces exactly?! Are they NOT Quincy in Réīátsū sensing or Not LINKED to Yhwach's Collecting of Souls? What's the Deal... would be great if a bunch of quincy lore got added to the anime since we're getting through things so quickly already...

Also call 📞 me a moron or idiot but you think aside from fallen or banished Shinigami = Quincy would a twist ( kenpachis that have literally been demonized or turned demonic for being in hell ) ghouls or hollows that evolved into ghouls that 700× times slash enhancement think there actual ghouls Hollowified or Hollowified ghouls there actual demons \ demonic beast or deities in Hell.
I think Souken made a modification to Uryu that made him immune to Aushwalen

I think the auswahlen definitely affected him at least somewhat. Now it kinda makes sense why Ryuuken always told uryu he was talentless. The other quincies are incredibly powerful. But it does seem like uryu was able to recover a lot of power through training and experience. But he probably would’ve been way more powerful if he hadn’t been struck by the auswahlen. Speaking of ryuuken… I wonder why Yhwach never tried to recruit him?

@@Skarnex1337Yhwach ain't the type to respect all that bs when he literally forced Liltoto and Gremmy and the Quincies seen in Bazz B backstory to join and fight for him. There's some other reason to it.

Souken, Ryuken, Ishin, and Tessai were the big four monster mysteries for me. They seemed very capable to say the least. I always regretted not seeing more from them and not knowing what Gin wished for from the hogyoku.
Tessai intrigued me as hell too when I started watching Bleach. There was this mysterious aura on him that made it seem like he ain't what he's pretending to be
If you look at certain angles Souken kinda resembles Albert Einstein. Einstein who is also German born, which the Quincy are based on the German SS. Einstein left Germany and gave the US one of its greatest weapons! He(Souken) reminds me of Einstein I’ve said this long ago as well!
Souken must be Wandenreich's Scientist researcher. He developed the first concept of Letz Still which later developed into Volstandig. He might have made the Battle Golem BG9, most likely the ninth version of his creation. Gremmy also seem to know Souken as Guaneel Lee resembles Souken. So maybe Gremmy's brain was preserved by Souken. Guaneel's powers were vanishing point as Souken vanished from Wandenreich and made Gremmy sad.
It makes me wonder if he was the previous Sternritter K. It'd make sense if it stands for "Knowledge" like we think it does.

My guess is that he was a former Sternritter.
Whatever else we remember about Soken Ishida, we must remember that he was an absent father to Ryuken Ishida, which in turn had an effect on Ryuken's emotionally distant relationship with Uryu. That said, I'm happy someone else is willing to credit Soken Ishida for Uryu's survival of Auswählen. I agree that his intervention was instrumental in Uryu's survival.
Hoping we get more about him in cour2 or 3!

Im 100% the Quincy were slaughtered or imprisoned by Mayuri after they believed ishin was killed by Quincy, and Mayuri used surveillance bacteria
They believed the quincy were extinct after isshin disappeared plus there's not that many quinces left

Not gonna lie, during my childhood, i cried reading the flashback scene of uryu and his grandfather. Ever wonder if Souken still alive and help Uryu develops his power and more quincy technique, what power level Uryu will be at, during the soul society or arrancar arcs? Obviously as non pure blood quincy, he is in handicapped, he has the talent but can't conjure up solid bow by himself at first. That's why he needs the training gloves. And so many offensive or defensive quincy technique that we don't know which can be used traps or anything else that do not related to their weapon

if ichigo and his sisters are half quincy, wouldn't auswelen affect them too? since they survived, this means uryu isnt the only mixed quincy to survive auswelen

Remember...auswählen happened right around the time ichigo started seeing ghosts...that why he was tricked by grand fisher because he couldnt tell them apart from people yet...
So...i think auswählen activated ichigos reijatsu but he survived because he didnt have not much rejatsu when auswählen happened at that moment
When it comes to his sister they didnt develop any powers until ichigos powerful reijatsu started reacting to the peoples souls around him...which means either auswählen happened and that little power they had was taken or they had never any powers to begin with because "white" was transfered to ichigo...meaning they have shinigami powers maybe fullbring powers but less likely quincy powers...
Ichigo and his Sisters are basically just Humans with high Reiatsu at that time.
Ichigo only technically become a shinigami when Rukia shared Shinigami powers to him. (Uryu mentioned Ichigo's Soul Strand/sash become Red after that incident which is a marker if a person is a shinigami or not)
In similar fashion Ichigo only "awakened" his Quincy DNA after being in Jail by Quilge.
Ichigo's sisters never encountered an event Awakening either their Quincy or Shingami DNA. So they are still just a human.
@@Snzn18True gradually their spiritual reistau and soul power have grown over time. Plus factor in their shinigami \ quincy DNA . Plus ➕ that encounter with grandfisher that time jolted slash further awakened power's.
Ichigo's body was shielded by Masaki, and there's no evidence that the sisters inherited any quincy power

Shunsui's reformation of the Sereitei is a tacit acknowledgement (that both Aizen & Yhwach were right) that the Soul Society was indeed corrupt, and needed change.
Aizen knew before Shunsui - "All shinigami with Captain Class reiatsu go straight to Hell, no questions asked. Unless you're in the RG."
That's pretty strong motivation to want to change the system.
4:01 Simo Urahara, I think the reason why he only mentioned that one side was that it was probably a known fact. Yhwach got humiliated and got his ass-beat. It doesn't really look good to give a motivational speech to bring up your defeat like that. Yhwach here was playing into the Quincies' desire for revenge.
4:44 I think that as they're in the Shadows of the Sereitei, they're still in the Soul Society, so they had to probably convert their physical bodies into reishi which makes them functionally age like the spirits in the Soul Society. This was what Ichigo and his friends had to do in order to invade and save Rukia.
So it just dawned on me that Kira's current form is the closest we got to a Soul Reaper version of the Auschwallen and the potential are limitless

When the quincies invaded Soul Society thousand years ago.
Their Human Bodies needed to be "converted" into spirit bodies (like Chad, Inoue, And Uryu during SS arc).
Making them spirit entities. Which makes them age like Shinigamis.

What if Mayuri and Souken worked together? Maybe he knew he would die by Yhwach and went to Mayuri beforehand and told him everything he knew. When he died he wanted Mayuri to find the silver and work with Ryuuken to create the arrow. Then Mayuri would manipulate Uryuu ( Itachi style) into using his holy form to lose his powers and Ryuuken to restore it.
This all probably didn't happen, but it was just an idea to get the discussion going.
Another reason I wish \ hope the arrow is rearranged changed and the final battle is all 5 war potentials vs S.K. Ychwach .
Maybe letz still that uryu had made him lose yhwach power and ryuken restored His original quincy power without yhwach. Maybe you are right and all of this was planned to make uryu the First quincy with his own power, the first original quincy after yhwach, making them equals
A full sentient Quincy bankai maybe from Shiba family.
Your theory makes tto much sense, yes I agree on everything except that he fought Ywach, I think he fought other sterniter that forced him to use volstanding and became powerless, you can see Uryu understanding Ichigo in that side that Ywach is the reason for what happend to Masaki and Katgori and Souken
I hope we will get his full story in TYBW only anime content, and I really hope (if he would be Sternritter) to see his Shrift
