We take a look at the LearnDash Kadence starter template. This is a very nice way to build an online course for WordPress. The Kadence starter template gives us a nice foundation to learn how to build a course website. However, to sell these courses we need to configure WooCommerce for LearnDash which we will cover in this video. Another nice touch is to make a custom thank you page that redirects the student to their account page after purchase so they can see their purchased courses.
You can download Kadence theme free here:

This Kadence theme has a lot more options than I've seen in any other theme I've used. Quite flexible, and almost a page-builder on it's own. With the LearnPress widgets in a sidebar, no need for focus mode, at least for my situation.

Hi. Thanks for the tutorial. I was wondering… is it possible to ‘force’ course participants to have to upload a file at the end of a lesson (for ‘marking’ / approval) - as part of the requirements for a lesson and before the next lesson is unlocked. Any suggestions for this would be much appreciated.

Hello. I have courses in Learndash for 2 years but I want to add some blog menu. I am using Astra free and Elementor free. When I tried to post a blog, the title is so small, and the format of my classic style is not same like my other site. The h2 is so big, . My pages also are hard to edit with elementor, specifically the mobile. Please help me. I am thinking to change my builder and theme. I will put first my courses to subdomain while changing my main domain if ever I decided to change theme and builder. Thanks in advance

    Hi Alex,
I'm enjoying your videos--especially the LearnDash tutorials. Good job!
I've been playing with the Astra/LearnDash theme (before I buy the LD program), and it seems okay. But today I came across your Kadence video. If I only want to sell one course on one website, which theme would you recommend for non-coders and ease-of-use? The Astra theme or the Kadence theme?
    Thanks,
    Andreas from Canada

If you use Elementor I think the Astra starter site one is a little nicer with Cartflows built in. If you prefer to use Gutenberg then go with Kadence. Either way, free kadence or free Astra will pair well with learndash

Hey! Thanks for the quick reply, Alex.
Okay, I'll stick with the Astra.
      Have a great 2021!

I will sell membership in 1, 3, 6, and 12 months. Each member gets access to my 125 videos and increases in how to tie flies for fly fishing. Is your approach correct also for my way of selling courses? Since I have >125 videos should I go for Vimeo as a videoplatform?

Hiya, I am using another theme and like to change to Kadence theme. What is the best way to transfer over without losing any content? I currently have an eCommerce website.

      1) Build a test website, then move your site over to the test site, with duplicator or all-in-one migration plugin
      2) Change your theme to Kadence
      3) Fix anything that doesn't look right on the test stie - this might mean rebuilding some pages, particularly if you used a page builder like elementor or divi
      Good luck!
      4) Once you have your test site working properly, migrate it back onto your live site.
If it seems like too much work, maybe find a developer on fiverr to do the job cheaply (search 'WordPress change theme')

      Hi Mohit, great questions
      1) I just made a new video on Kadence blog pages so check that one out. If you want to do it using Astra, I show how to add blogs to the front page on my 'build a blog' video: ua-cam.com/video/I3dZb1Bz3dk/v-deo.html
      2) I haven't tested this but there are a few methods discussed here: help.gulshankumar.net/t/how-to-add-timer-on-downloading-page-in-wordpress/2028/21
