Leaving a gap in front of you is also to account for the fact that the person in front of you may roll back. Also in an event where your car gets hit from the back, now your car won't go smash the car in front you since you left a gap in front of you. I agree about the fact that people cutting in causes even more traffic jams.
I've had one of these for 4 years and I absolutely love my little baby. However, if you ever want to overtake a lorry going at 40mph on a hill, forget it.
Sorry I like you but theres nothing wrong with leaving gaps. If the car in front of you suddenly stalls or gets stuck then I can easily move past him, whereas you will be stuck behind him with your indicator on for 5 minutes trying to get into the free lane cos you were right on his backside.
Please get your hands on a Suzuki Swift Sport😎 *You Leave a Gap for Safety reasons* In the MSF safety course you're trained to leave a space cushion/escape path. People always creep up way too close behind me, so I like to have some real estate to move into If I think they're going to rear end me. or if they do I won't get sandwiched in-between two cars. I also don't want to hit the car infront of me (we all get distracted_guilty) Yeah I get SUPER PISSED OFF!! when someone enters into my gap but then I just create a new space cushion & karma will take care of them.
I've bought one three years old with 20k on, had it a year. Good little car except that the clutch got hot in town, the rear brake light leaked water into the boot and yesterday the battery went flat. Not what you want when you lay out 6 grand. Cheap and nasty is this car all over in my opinion, better consider a Dacia.

Your point about leaving gaps in traffic for others to rudely push in is noted, thks.
Can't wait to see you review the new Atos👌
I'm doing 3.8ltr to 100km long distance and about 4.3ltr to 100km short distance.
Awesome review all the right stats are shown... Information that is required to make a informed decision about the car.
