I love how good their songs sound on an acoustic guitar. Someone once said "if a song doesn't translate well to acoustic, chances are the song is not that good" IMO A. G. is kind of an Alan Parsons for our generation. Genius! I see M83 every time I have the chance here in NYC, and never get tired, and also their concerts are such a musical/spiritual experience.
I love the new era of dance, shoegaze and electronic synth that comes out of this band. They sound incredible live! They even have all keyboard, synth and electric phase effects all on point. Amazing and beautiful sounding!!
Reminds me of '80's new wave.. which is a good thing. David Bowie, Big Country, Psychedelic Furs.. This song would have been a MASSIVE hit in.. let's say.. 1985. Lovely song.
What the heck is their setup...I didn't think it'd be so hard to find. It's like they have some secret machine for translating emotion into soundwaves, and no one is allowed to know. Seriously, where's Godzilla come from? What is that synth setting that pops up in the intro? I read somewhere they use a Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 08. True or False?
