Years ago I was called to fix a leaking bar sink with 3 bays. I climbed under the sick and could see daylight poking through from where someone stabbed the hell out of the bottom of the sink with an icepick chipping ice from a block of ice. There was 10-12 holes in each sink. The owner told me he would find a better plumber who could fix the leaking pipe. LOL
Lol, I had the same problem at a bar recently, the cheap-ass owner ask if I can just plug the holes in the 3 bay sink with epoxy. I'm sure he'll be calling again soon. The customer is always right.🖕🖕
Steve is the master of sink drains. Always exceptional work, and solves problems. Always fun to watch the 'master'.... though used a lot of compression tubular rather than his usual glued pvc in this install.
Awesome work Steve! True professional. I’ve learned so much from you, even how you use your tools. My wife and I both enjoy watching your channel and I’m constantly saying look how he does that or uses those water pump pliers! I have purchased many of your tools, testing equipment which have certainly helped me with repairs. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Another great video Steve, I invested a bit of money and bought myself a wrench that removes the nut from the original strainers, it's helped me lot's! I would resort to the grinder until I accidentally cut the sink once. I like those strainers you use, they just don't carry them at my (sign and take account) local carrier. Keep them video's coming 💯💥👍☝️👌
Had an old Plumber told me to make a ring of the plumbers putty and put it on that way but I like your way so much better. It's kinda like packing a bearing
If the daughter is doing chemo/radiation that seriously compromises her immune system In that situation I'd gladly wear a mask and I HATE wearing masks.
It would be more beneficial if she wore an N-95 mask to protect herself than others wearing those cheap China paper ear loop masks. As a former OR RN of 20 years we could not wear them in the Operating Room.
Ole Stever usin the ole gundy gettin that PIA basket strainer off. Sometimes you just gotta improvise and break out the heavy artillery. Nice video. I really do enjoy the plumbin videos.
I Never thought We would have anything like Covid. I have had shots for it. I think I am supposed to get another shot for it. I have some good Friends that can drive Me. I don't drive anymore.
@josh Baker >>> Old plumbers putty it has million uses - many think rubber/silicone seals replaced it years ago, think again... use it & you'll forgive yourself for all those "what the hell" moments that never happened where others didn't use it around wet areas that have issues later on... Some you can tell & reform others are too dull to save a themselves few $$$ in the repair by stripping the job down & applying putty for a long term hassle free fix. More than plumbing items just like pipe dope it a wide range of uses from air lines to gas lines to chemical joint sealing for the petrol-chem industry. You ask why? it's a thread locker & sealant in one plus easy to clean off when still when wet...Throw out your ptfe tape/silicone/pipe compounds they've been made redundant.
Hey Steve that standpipe you put on that woman's washer for the drain could have been half that high only need to be as high as the top of the washer. But keep screwing with those customers anyway they need it
Hey Steve. You didn't have to make that standpipe so high for that washer you could have cut that down in half. Nice job but that washer pumps got to pump a lot of water to get up that high. Keep up the good work and keep screwing with those customers
Hi Steve, great video, but I wanted to pass some information on to you , about New York now is charging $50.00 dollars to drive into the city/state from anywhere out of state!, this is crazy!, I hope you don't go to New York!
@@dwight.bennett unfortunately it's for everyone who drives to New York!!!, I think it's just a part of their plans to eliminate all vehicles from New York!!, I hear they are starting to go after people who have electric bikes !!!, I think they don't want any vehicles, bikes, or anything, just people walking!!, it's crazy!!, I'm in California and they're trying to do the same thing!!
I would have taken off those basket strainers and replaced that two part waste and plumbed a ABS trap and waste to the wall into the 1 1/2" drain and be done with it. This fails a lot in peoples homes. Can't remember how many I have replaced when I was a plumbing contractor but it was a lot of fun for me and I had a huge customer list.
Steve, I don't know anything about telegram or instagram or any of that, lol I am to old and not internet savvy lol I do have a face book instant messenger though. Or Phone.
Did you send a comment about talking on Telegram and thanks for watching and text me about something very profitable. It has your channel and your picture but pretty sure it's a scam

I would have used the longer tailpiece on the left to get the pitch better without cutting. Looking good
Great job Steve, Your not a rookie plumber, and do a good job every time, Hey Miss Molly, missed her on the preview.

It looked like that main drain was leaking at the top of the strainer at the end of the video.
i saw that too...2 drips
I saw two drips too at the end of video.
Steve's gloves when he had reached in to pull the strainers
FYI Leak at 31:51 when Steve removed stopper to let water flow… and again at 32:07 Steve just missed seeing drip each time

Good job Steve! You're right not cutting the sink with the grinder is the most important thing!! But I agree those grinders really come in handy
my favorite tool the grinder with the oversize cutoff wheel and no guard lol
dont be scared homey... go big or stay home
@@stevenlavimoniere i use the same thing all the time much more fun than sawzall
I finally understand why you just cut them out instead of unscrewing it , makes it look more complicated to the homeowner lol
40 years of Plumbing experience. Steve has seen it all.👍
There's a wrench made for specifically for removing/replacing those strainer baskets. 10 bucks maybe
@@dhenschel4 There;s also a wrench made for the big nut next to the sink.
Be careful with those grinders. A Friend of My Dad's got hit in the Face with one of those several years ago.
3 drops from the left side strainer ? 🤔

Howdy Steve and Molly

Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again y’all. 👍👍
Done plumbing 37 years best baskets I ever tried
Have used Teflon tape and twisted it up with good results for leaks like that
One problem can and usually will lead to another plumbing problem, especially in old homes
Yep. Everything you touch can start cascade failing.
Nothin' beats a little jism juice LOL 🤣
just wondering how come you don't take credit cards?
You gotta betta tool den dat grinda.😂maybe😂
Good idea how they put FRP under the sink.
Hello Steve!
What a cool job, you help people!
Afternoon Steve nice work.
Nice work.
My first sink strainer basket removal took me 2 hours was a pain in the neck
Too tight can be just as bad as too loose when it comes to plumbing.!!!
Nice fix ... I like that light stand at the end ... What brand is it ? Thx ...

I always got leaks using puddy. An old plumber told me to use clear silicone and tell the customer not to use the sink for 24 hrs . No more leaks

I Must Say He Live A Great Life For A 92yo 🙏🏽
You Should Have Ask If They Want A Garbage Disposal Instal On One Side But It Wouldn’t Make Since Because Is A Double Sink🤣🤦🏼♂️
My plumbers puddy keeps leaking so I had to put a bead of silicone
Nice work
