Thank you, so many interesting ideas. I know you can put glass, wood and metal inside the oven with the polymer clay to bake but how do you know if its safe to put inside cardboard boxes for example or plastic such as the switch covers? Is it is possible that heat would burn them or melt them in any way?
@@KialayaKreations Your very welcome and thank you for the kind words. Most polymer clays bake at 275 and I've never had an issue with cardboard of any kind. Soft or clear plastics can and will melt, I've melted several pens and tool handles, lol. Usually harder plastics are ok, I've never had a switchplate cover melt in the oven but they will concave sometimes, depending on the thickness of the clay and the weight of the design. I just place them face down if my design allows, or put something under the inside to keep it flat on top.
