I followed this tour starting at Merriweather Post, this was another fine show, probably the second best of run. The Poplar Creek shows were okay too, then St. Paul, and City Island bringing up the rear, only because of the kind of weird vibe there.
Saw many shows at Dane County, a medium size arena maybe 9000, Always GA
Highlights- Shakedown opener, a ripping Deal. beautiful Morning Dew.
This was the first tour tapers had DAT recorders, I know one was made this night, but never was able to locate a dub. The copy here is the one I’ve had since a month after the show.
I was about 8 feet in front of Jerry for this entire show. You wouldn't dare leave or you'd never get back. But seeing Jerry, actually Jerry seeing the back of my rather large eyeballs during Shakedown, Help/Slip/Franks and Dew was a life changing event :)
