Not really. As the data itself ties everything together. If I want accurate level I survey in some targets with a laser level (much more accurate than anything the scanner or even a total station can do). Otherwise I just scan one or two scans with a standard (non-Flash) profile and set this or the other as a "Reference scan". Works without issues!

The Core is a very well rounded scanner too. A workhorse! But if you want, there is always the option for trade-in and upgrade :)
Since flash doesnt really use the inclinometer, are you worried about your registration accuracy?
