- In this video I do a deep dive to thoroughly translate all of the Japanese lyrics to English in Megan Thee Stallion and Yuki Chiba's new song "Mamushi".
I am a native English speaker who has been living in Japan for over 5 years and studying Japanese for over 10 years.
Please don't forget to leave a like if you found it helpful! ⭐
I am absolutely fascinated by people who can learn and speak a foreign language ❤ the amount of study and practice and determination it takes is something beyond most people can imagine and I know I could never with how busy my life is. Great Job! thank you so much
You made it make sense!!!!!!! Thank you so much. And you look great, sis! Love the hairstyle, jewelry, and makeup.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! they have the translations on genuis now but it was still a little confusing, but now with you explaining it more i feel like i really understand the song 🫶🏽
You’re so welcome! I’m elated it was actually helpful to someone 💓
Since I’ve heard this song, I’ve wondered what they were saying. THANK YOU so much for this breakdown translation.
IMO on Yuki Chiba’s “shooting star” bar, I think he & Meg are talking on artists who don’t appear to have longevity like Meg & where will they fall by the end of their musical run.
Anyways, I subscribed & look forward to seeing more of your content!

👏👏👏 VERY EDUCATIVE THANKS YOU FROM SOUTHAMERICA 🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪
You’re so welcome! Thanks for watching ♥️♥️♥️
8:46 the hideout where they have the liquor could be like 50 Cent saying I’m out in the club with a bottle full of bub.
My daughter and I are learning Japanese and with this song came out it was a great moments because we are black and into hip Hop. However strange this request might be can you do a video explaining the link between black Americans connection with anime.
I think it would be dope AF if that video talks about the ancient civilizations of Africa how they traded both in goods and in fighting culture
Thank you for this video!! I thought they could be putting a curse on all of us. Thank you for explaining the concept 😮😅
LOL I’m glad to see I’m not the only one with irrational fears 😂 You’re so welcome and thanks for watching ♥️♥️♥️
Sutaa (star) is like a slang Japanese to English. Hoshi is the formal way to say star. I do wonder why they don't say desu (des)
Thank you🎉
You’re welcome! 💖
U are very knowledgeable and impressive
Thank you so much :) thanks for watching ❤️
Good explanation sister thank you😅
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching 💕
Thank you
You’re so welcome! Thanks for watching ☺️💛🌟
Thank you!💓
You’re welcome! 💕
I recently started teaching myself Japanese and would love any assistance and or tips in learning, I would really appreciate it.
❤❤❤❤
He was talking about the video shoot not television lol and he was talking about chillin for lack of a better word when you mention the part after that night and day hideout bar
テレビ def means TV but a music video would make more sense contextually lol.
Also interesting interpretation of the other part as well! Thanks for your comment :)
they should sing 'making money is my style'~
Thank you so much! And you’re soooooo gorgeous 😍☺️😍☺️✨✨✨😊
Omg thankssssss 🥹💗💗 and you’re very welcome 🫶🏾✨
The term "Mamushi" refers to a venomous pit viper native to East Asia, particularly Japan.
Yeah I totally forgot to also explain the title 🤦🏾♀️ But speaking of which, I went hiking recently in a place in Japan with signs that read “Beware of Mamushi”. I was excited but also terrified 😂
@cocoainkyoto I Wish I could do that stuff, lol. Since childhood, I have always been fascinated with Japan and its culture. And I am also black. Half black and half white, to be precise, lol ☯️
You totally can! Are you interested in moving to Japan? Most people come for school, as an English teacher, or you can even come as a language school student. We both share that fascination so I think it’s totally worth it if a simple vacation here isn’t enough for you.
@cocoainkyoto That would be amazing. We can all dream, lol. Who knows, maybe one day I will be able to do something like that.
I’m rooting for you ✨🎌✨
Thank you baby 😙
What does the “kira “(?) mean? “Look”? “That’s right”? “You know”? I don’t remember you explaining it. Thanks!
Omg you’re so right, I totally forgot to include that line; how upsetting 😭😭
“Kira kira” is onomatopoeia for something sparkling or twinkling! In this case it refers to the twinkling of stars 🌟
So he basically said what most rising. Stars say
Exactlyyy 🙂↕️
i clicked on her because Coco's hair is great.
Thanks love 🥹💕🫶🏾✨♥️
Japanebonics!!😂😂😂
Tis true 😭😭
Yes same with mandarin, translation has to be processed in English, been studying for a year and literal translations are a no no with these languages
I can imagine! It would seem that Asian languages generally don’t get along well with English 😵💫
I thought she said " 私あつい" 😂😂
ME TOO!!! But I was like that can’t be it and eventually let Google bring me to the light 🤣
Right he’s basically saying he’s a star he hops from star star he has from bought a ball with famous people. He has money. He has blame his clout. He homes only with people with clout and has the base the same thing he has or more and he’s a star also basically what he saying so he’s bragging about his, clout clout
Sounds spot on 😂 it’s interesting to know that even in other languages, rap culture stays the same lol
Thank you. I thought I liked this song but was curious as to what they were saying. Sounds like just more trash from Megan.
I'm glad it was helpful for you! ❤
3:55 that’s debatable!!😂😂😂😂😂
Omg why tho 😂
@@cocoainkyotobecause that’s not the word on the internet streetz people really think it’s some type of ritual chant or somethin I just laugh at em 😂😂😂
Lollll good to see the internet is still a jungle 😂 Feels good to know the truth tho 🤭
