Headstone is pretty cool, but it's infinitely more useful when you're on a stasis subclass. It spawns a whole crystal on the body of whoever you kill, which can freeze someone if they're right on top of it. But the real utility is that it interacts with your stasis aspects and fragments. If you have aspects and fragments that trigger off of being near a crystal or shattering a crystal, this plays into those abilities.

Yeah, my buddy is a Warlock main and got Headstone and Subsistence. He runs it with Whisper of Shards and Veritys Brow and basically has 100% grenade uptime even though he's specced into Intellect and Recovery.
It's also kind of a stasis version of Dragonfly, as you can hit the crystals to damage mobs around the guy you just domed...
Definitely, I have an outlaw headstone Vulpecula and it's ridiculously fun; I have yet to take it into PvP

@@StealthKillerJay I think this was probably a sarcastic comment, but ... I think personally right now the CQC is pretty well balanced. Pellet shottys have less range, so SMGs and sidearms have breathing room etc. Granted slug shotguns have really good range still, but they need more skill to pull off (except double body of course...) outside of melee range.

Headstone is alright. It’s not a game changer perk but it can make some fun plays by popping the crystal or using it as cover.
Definitely more of a PvE perk for me.
2:03 They could also make better the fact that you need 8 different entirely sets of armor, just because you need an entirely new set for each exotic...
and then you have to balance out the armor energy types for each set which is so damn annoying

Destiny needs like a built in armory system where you can swap armor sets/ mods depending on your build.

You can freeze with headstone but they have to be like standing on top of the person you killed so it basically never happens. Only use for it is on a stasis class so you can break the crystal and get 5 seconds of ability regen.
It’s better than that. With Whisper of Chains you get a 20% damage resistance if you’re near it. Helps you to take on multiple opponents and gives you some cover to play around. Plus you can shoot it to damage them or shatter dive on it.

I got 1 with killing and harmony on my titian pair 8t with noback up plans and shotgun works fantastic.

Headstone in my research( I have headstone on this gun) gives you portable cover, and unless you use stasis, that’s it. I have a range and stability based roll with rangefinder, headstone, and range masterwork. Headstone drags my gun down but honestly I’m not complainingXD

in PVE i could see headstone being crazy. Get lots of headshots on thrall rushes and such, and just shatterdive slap them all and do some big AOE damage, plus get your grenade regen back faster... (Hunter of course)

God I really need somebody to go over footage of me playing so I can get an actual informed opinion on what I'm doing wrong. I know I am doing something wrong, and I've gotten suggestions to watch over my own footage before to see where I make mistakes, but I am not confident enough in my understanding to assume I'd even notice what the mistake was. Like, clearly the mistake is there, but I also don't want to accidentally judge it in the sense of me knowing the future. Like, "oh, your mistake was you didn't know this was gonna happen", adverse to "you ran your ass into that sniper lane so fast that there was no way you weren't gonna get sniped". Game sense in that way I need to work on, remembering what angles are dangerous, but sometimes I feel like it's dangerous to turn corners at all. I die A LOT going around corners. Shotguns, or really any weapon, I guess. Sometimes I respond in time with a twitch shoulder charge and then miss and then they turn and shoot at me with the reflexes of the god damn Flash and I'm dead before I even have time to turn around and fire on them.
So, yeah. Long story short, me no no what I do wrong, me need find one who wood no.

SirD is right! Bungie should implement build presets like in Division 2. Life as a Destiny 2 player would be a whole lot easier.

This gun is cold thought it would be like a water gun but it slaps. I actually don’t like sidearms normally [ except Last Dance) but this is ok just can’t get used to it
I think headstone is great inside of pve. For pvp, it can be ok but I don't think it's that great. Either way, the perk really only shines if you're using a stasis subclass and loading up on aspects and fragments that are based around crystals.

I have a Subsistence headstone peacebond and it's really good in PvE, and I would say god tier if you combine stasis subclass with it
The reason I don’t like the Peacebond is because it is basically a pulse rifle in the shape of a sidearm. That destroys the use of it because sidearms/handcannons are meant to have good damage, because your hitting those shots while maneouvering behind odjects. Other than that, Peacebond is great!
Headstone perk is good for hunter with stasis shatterdive and whisper of fissures... Add Icarus grip and you can do some good plays
I rarely get to fully kill someone with sidearms and I have to follow it with a melee. I always thought it's because I don't know how to properly use sidearms but he's doing the exact same thing

i still think loadout presets are a good thing. You change your weapon to a pulse instead of a handcannon? just select a mod preset that swaps to the loadout you built for pulse rifles. Easy

I hate how when turning in iron banner coins, you can get armor. 4 hours of iron banner gameplay and i got 1 roll each for the two new weapons. everything else was the new iron banner armor. i got 5 cloaks all together from that play session.
