Exactly Judith! Just like "It's My Pleasure" monochromatic palette. That one has what, two, true purples while the remaining shades lean towards pink. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy It's My Pleasure but it is not a purple palette. No matter how many ways they try to spin it.

I was just thinking that they haven't released a red monochrome palette a couple of days ago! I'm excited for it, I loooove red eyeshadow. However I have to agree with you about the tone of the pallette..... They all seem to be mid toned would have liked to see a lighter matte and an even deeper matte. That being said I'm still getting it lol

I don’t recall seeing anyone asking for a watermelon palette with only corals/reds, no greens, blacks or whites plus the name of this palette would have been perfect for a yellow lemony palette. I must say you have the sweetest most calming voice and every time you start when you say, "hello my beautiful friends" it reminds me of Mr Roger's lol. It's a pretty palette but definitely look too similar, I'm sure I'll still get it tho because colourpop and juvias place, I wont turn down.

I always enjoy your commitment to the color themes, but especially the pretty nails. My eyes always stain with red eyeshadow, but a skin test is a really good idea with new shades.

It's My Pleasure is my favourite purple palette ever 😍 If you're curious about the other 9 pan palettes, I can recommend both MAR (It can both do simple beautiful looks and BAM with the blues) and Brown Sugar (it's so much more that a brown palette).
I agree with you saying that most of the tones are very similar where the just my luck palette has a different shade of green in every single pot I think it’s just my pleasure is about the same too in variation
The palette looks like an extension of their Coral Palette. The colors are all very similar in tone. Good news is, people can take the pinks and peaches, that are in previous palettes, and make looks. Great Review, Thank You!

I have that same colourpop brush too! But I have the pink ones from when they were introducing the brushes to the brand when they were doing the .. buy a certain amount of whatever and you’ll get a brush lol I have quite. Few 😂
Love the look you came up with! I'm actually kind of interested in this palette. I have the Blood Sugar palette from Jeffree Star and the Main Squeeze palette looks like a less intense version which might be easier for me to use when I'm in a rush. I love my Blood Sugar palette but goddamn that palette is beyond pigmented and this palette might be easier to work with when I just want a wash of color or something. Some of the colors also look similar to the Yes Please palette from Colourpop which I already have. I hope someone does comparison swatches between the Main Squeeze and Yes Please palettes because I can't be the only one who sees some similarities between them 🤔
First I was like 'yes!! Watermelon'. But I would have liked it more if there was a very light duochrome shadow and something really dark, maybe even a green and one more pink toned red. The super shock shadow though looks super amazing 🤩

I've been lukewarm for all the monochromatic palettes (too colorful for my taste) but I agree with you on this particular palette. It's not very "true red" and the lack of variation is underwhelming... However I'm excited for the super shock shadow! It seems really pretty so I might grab that!
I've always been wary of red eyeshadow because I'm so pale, but went for this just to try out. Plus the whole watermelon theme sucked me right in too. 🙈😂
If you havent applied ss shadows with those cheap baby sponge applicaters we all used as kids it's the closest impact to a finger. I always use those under my eye.
Well, quite a few people were hoping for a Red Palette & here it is lol. I have to agree with you, the palette seems to lack depth. All the shades seem to fall at about the same value range although it does give you plenty of variety of warm, true & cool reds. I think this is definitely more of a companion palette than a stand alone palette- at least it would be for me & how I wear my eye makeup. I own the Huda Ruby mini palette & that's probably as much red as I need in my collection since it's not a color I wear regularly. I did pick up the It's My Pleasure ( purple) & Good Luck? ( the green one) & have liked both of those, but I usually end up mixing them with other palettes too.

It does look kind of repetitive, but maybe that’s because technically there’s only so much tonal variation you can do for a primary color before the resultant shade becomes a secondary color. 🤷♀️ The “not for the eye area” warnings are totally ridiculous on products obviously meant for the eye though. Seems like a cheap cop out and I’m kind of surprised that’s considered adequate notice. 🤔

If they wanted an all red color collection, they could have gone for a cherry or pomegranate or strawberry theme. I initially wanted the palette, but I changed my mind when I saw how similar the shades are

But I just finished watching ThatGirlShaeXo’s swatch video for this collection and on her eyes I can see a difference in the mattes from this palette compared to the Sol palette. Still not sure it’s a must for me, though 🤷🏻♀️ lol
When I was introduced to them about a year ago I went ahead and purchased a TON of stuff because everything looked so amazing! Now that I've got my staples everything that's released either looks like something I have, or is something I wouldn't personally wear. Haven't purchased anything since Disney Villains but that was mainly for packaging.
STOP IT RIGHT NOW THIS COLLECTION IS SO GORGEOUS Edit: Lol after hearing your thoughts and seeing swatches I'm also not super in love. The super shock is gorgeous but the "not eye safe" thing is a little irritating lol
I don't mind pressed pigments. For one I don't react (lucky me) and it means I don't have to work as hard to make them show up. Plus some people are vegan and are against using carmine (crushed beetles) so the dyes are the main alternative.
I thought the super shock shadow colour was really cute but I'm super in need of colourpop to be making more metallic supershock shadows rather than all the glitter shades, I'm not into glitter!
Dangit. I was so sure I was going to get online and buy this palette.. But after seeing the swatches.. I think they could have done a much better red palette.
I agree with there being too many similar shades. And that's why I'm going to skip this one, but kudos to CP for coming out with a monochromatic red palette. Would love to see another brand do a better job with it, though.
All I see are similar shades in this palette. They could have gone so red's with several different undertones. .A true blood red, a burgundy red, an Indian red with gold shimmer and so on.. Sometimes Colourpop hits the nail right on the head and other times they completely miss the mark. Maybe they need to slow down with their back to back launches and take some time out to create something beautiful like they used to. Jmo. Thankyou for your honest review.

I don't mind pressed pigments. For one I don't react (lucky me) and it means I don't have to work as hard to make them show up. Plus some people are vegan and are against using carmine (crushed beetles) so the dyes are the main alternative.
I thought the super shock shadow colour was really cute but I'm super in need of colourpop to be making more metallic supershock shadows rather than all the glitter shades, I'm not into glitter!

How does it compare to the red palette of Bretman rock ?
Dangit. I was so sure I was going to get online and buy this palette.. But after seeing the swatches.. I think they could have done a much better red palette.
I agree with there being too many similar shades. And that's why I'm going to skip this one, but kudos to CP for coming out with a monochromatic red palette. Would love to see another brand do a better job with it, though.

All I see are similar shades in this palette.
They could have gone so red's with several different undertones. .A true blood red, a burgundy red, an Indian red with gold shimmer and so on..
Sometimes Colourpop hits the nail right on the head and other times they completely miss the mark.
Maybe they need to slow down with their back to back launches and take some time out to create something beautiful like they used to. Jmo.
