HELL NO! Why cast your pearls on swine? He can pay for the service just like anyone else. He let it overgrow again just as badly or worse? Some people will make an effort- they'll come to the door and watch you while you're working. Some folks will at least pretend to try to help... they'll fetch a tool, or a garbage bag, or watch your truck for you... or bring you out a glass of iced tea. I didn't meet the old man in question- but I'd like to know that he's worthy of this sort of consideration again before just bestowing it upon him like magic. This is a hundred dollars or more worth of work.
@@melissachartres3219 You gotta remember that the person is having medical issues. That can mean lots of things but if they are not able to do any yard work then you shouldn't judge them so harshly. I am sure the person who posted the video is making money in different ways (UA-cam, advertisements, TikTok, etc.).
@@Oddy666 Indeed... I did remember that they have medical issues. YOU gotta remember, however... that allowing grass to get that high takes WEEKS most of the time. It takes a lot of neglect to get to that point. Most people who use vague terms like 'medical issues' are just using that excuse to turn their backs on their chores. I've seen people who are seriously infirmed be able to accomplish some amazing things when they prioritize doing it. Cutting a tiny bit of grass every day is still within the abilities of a lot of sick old people- they just refuse to do it because they don't want to. Grass that high is not just unsightly- it's a public nuisance and it indicates to me (after seeing it get that high for the second time in a row) that the old man just doesn't care.
@@melissachartres3219 Imagine a 60 year old guy who doesn't have a working lawnmower, is on a very strict budget so can't afford one, and has medical issues that render him incapable of doing serious yardwork. Here you come calling him swine. You seem like a terrible person. Genuinely the worst sort of human being. I hope you one day find yourself in a situation where you cannot help yourself and rely on the kindness of strangers. I hope I'm somehow one of the strangers and I somehow learn that you made this revolting comment so that I can shoot you the bird, call you swine, and tell you that you're not worthy of my assistance.
@@melissachartres3219 or he is old and has ongoing medical issues (alzheimers, cancer, other medical issues) to where he legitimately can not mow. Besides, anyone doing these free cuts makes thousands off of videos, so what the heck does the 100$ do for the mow? So your point on the financial part, the ethical part, and the humanity part all make no sense at all.

There was a time when neighbors looked out for each other luckily Tim is there to help this man out.
I came to say this very thing. It's not like this is a home by itself out in the middle of nowhere. NO ONE ever bothered to ask the owner about the yard and if they could help? I did this in my poor ass neighborhood as a kid... mowed on old woman's yard and took out her trash for a quarter literally and this wasn't in the 1950's either... I'm not that old.
Exactly what I was going to say. Where are the neighbors at? It never should have gotten this bad. If the grass is that bad, is the person living there okay? How's the house upkeep? Groceries? So sad...

Probs lying, a lot of lazy people say they have problems etc when they actually don't or only have minor health problems and make it bigger than what it is

I wondered about those neighbors, too. Every shot in the video shows well-maintained lawns; what's the problem with running a mover over the place before it is a hayfield?
Yea, we mow and snowblow for our elderly neighbor right next to us all the time. I'm thinking of seeing if the elderly man that lives kitty corner (would have to drive mower/snowblower around the block) needs help too. He's been looking like he is moving a bit more gingerly lately.

I agree. Every yard in the video is well-maintained; what is the problem with running a mower around once in a while?
I loved watching this clean-up! It looked SO much better! It’s so awesome that you helped outthe gentleman when he so obviously needs it. It would be so cool if you continue to help him since his health prevents him from being able to do it himself. Wonder too what his back yard looks like. when the front yard is bad, usually, the back yard you can’t see is much worse!

What a complete transformation and wow that was a lot of grass. To help somebody that is having medical issues that is one thing off their shoulders. Great job Tim you’re an angel for them. Should you make another video of the home that would be great but just helping them would be even better. I had a complete knee replacement over a year ago and you do feel a little helpless and you depend on others to help you get by. but doing the yard like I said takes a burden off of them. You’re a hero keep helping other people who can’t help themselves with their yard. Thank you for helping others take care and I will see you in the next video.

First hand I know how medical bills can drain you financially, leaving no extra funds for keeping the yard up. I ADORE yard work and it kills me that my 3back surgeries have prevented me from doing so much of what I love! (Hit by a drunk driver and have permanent nerve damage for life. She walked away with only a cut lip! I was ejected!) I agree with you. What's the problem? Even those young boys were inside on their bums watching Tim do volunteer work. Disgusting.
Some people actually can't (physical, mental, or money limitations). Others just don't even give it a thought to begin with. I pick up a lot garbage on my block; most people can, but won't pick up garbage, while others throw it on the ground.
Today I picked up a delivery envelope with an address some 20 miles from me. How it got to my town, let alone on my lawn, remains a mystery.

Another knockout job. And yes, please revisit this property and also do the backyard. People with health issues are very grateful for the help, I'm sure. I guess the days of neighbors helping neighbors doesn't exist anymore. I saw one of my neighbors struggling one day, and I grabbed all my yard tools and hiked over there and completed the job, and I'm 77 years old, but you're never too old to lend a helping hand because you never know when you might be in that position one day.

I am always surprised how unwilling friends/family/neighbours are to help maintain the yards of some people. You did the hard work, it would be easy to whip over it regularly to maintain it.

Super job! I like that edging machine you have. It is very unfortunate that the people who are either too old or too infirm to take care of their yards, that neighbors don't seem to care or want too help out. Something that would have be derigueur 50-60 years ago. When I was 13, y old dad "volunteered" me to help out our older neighbors this way, summer AND winter. So for years I mowed grass and shoveled snow for free in my town until I left home for a city to work at 19. I was glad to do it too, even though I was going to school in the daytime and working after school at a local business ($1.25/hr). The only equipment I had was an old gas non bagging mower, a grass rake an pair of hedge shears and a pair of secateurs. For winter, it was just the shovel and a steel snow pushed. Summer break were never my own either. It is even more unfortunate that local civic government's will, instead of doing something constructive for such people, start handing out 'violation' tickets that those on fixed incomes can't pay anyway.
Tim I loved watching this yard get done and if it's gotten bad again I'm sure the poor man isnt physically capable of doing it himself and really needs your help so please go and do it for him as being disabled isnt funny and being someone that has friends that are I know it's not easy for them to not be able to do it as they always kept the yard up but it's no longer possible for them and they appreciate the help. Thank you for being the sweet guy that he needs to help him and I'm sure hes very happy when he looks out in his yard and sees how beautiful it looks. Your one of so many I watch that do this that has a huge heart and your very loved by millions and I'm sure of that please never stop being you 🤗❤
