I hope this visit gave my fellow Christian citizens happiness and assurance that we who want a multi-faith Egypt with ppl living in peace could never give up to terrorism and the divide those perpetrating terrorism want to achieve in Egypt.

i think you can understand now that our beliefs is mixed between ancient / western / eastern / African / christian / Muslim / Jewish its a multi religion environment since 3000B.C and we will never fight each other as a Egyptian for me i prefer to see a burning mosque - church better than i see one of my people dying [ christian - Muslim - atheist - deism ]

i am ethiopian orthodox and always love and respect coptics. Coptics are inspiration to all Christians and true testimony to the strength of our faith. Stay strong!! although i don't believe teaching of catholic church i think this is a good step to shine light on Christianity in general.

Coptics are the Egyptian Christians.The majority of Coptics are Orthodox christians but a minority are Eastern catholics and they belong to Coptic Catholic church en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coptic_Catholic_Church or in Coptic Evangelical church en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evangelical_Church_of_Egypt_(Synod_of_the_Nile) .Coptic Evangelicals usually want convert Egyptian Muslims to their Coptic Evangelical church.Copts have got a different dna from many Egyptian muslims.The reason is that Egyptian muslims in the history made many mixed marriages with Arab muslims conquerors unlike Copts who they married only with other Copts.

Έλλην Πατριώτης The Islamization of Egypt was due to the converting of big masses of Egyptian Christians to muslims to escape taxes so mixed marriages has nothing to do with anything plus mixed marriages weren’t only with arabs Egypt was conquered many times and by that mixed marriages happened with many other races and that doesn’t make anyone not Egyptian or not natively Egyptian it all just differs in making slit DNA percentages changes for example instead of being 100% native Egyptian u will be 80% plus 15% Arab and 5% greek. Adding that no one is 100% Egyptians at the end like it or not we r all native Egyptians and Egypt is a proud Muslim country and it’s called the Arabic Republic of Egypt . There is no need of baptism if some Christian want to be a catholic or orthodox as we r one followers of jesus christ and all the doctrines and everything matches as we follow Bible of The new revised standard version Catholic edition.
Orthodox and catholic are one only
They can attend euchrist of each other and have holy communion of each other also that's what I feel. Jesus never divided us in orthodox or catholic we r one followers of christ and Christian. We believe in all our saints, apostle , euchrist , trinity, both follows all the passion week of christ . we respect and have prayers for mother mary and both prayer for the departed souls as well.
So I urge to all orthodox and catholic in this world come unite together and let's live in brotherhood as what jesus taught us and follow the path of christ and follow what jesus taught us.

What is the reason not to rebaptize? I do not think they are exactly the same. Our Christian follower or My Christian follower to Father Pope Francis? i don't know who the other Patriarch is, unless they were calling Pope francis a patriarch. also there are two groups of Copts in Egypt. One Orthodox, and one in communion with Rome, but Coptic in canon law and liturgy. Maybe both Coptic Patriarchs were there, but i doubt it, and they did not say that.
