We did it! We finally found the perfect house to renovate in a brand new area, South of Manchester. We cannot wait to get started our our period property renovation and with big long term plans, we hope to make this house into our home over the foreseeable future!

I'd keep the basement loo... It'll be handy for garden parties, so guests can nip there instead of through the house. It will also be handy for your cinema room or when doing laundry down there.
So much potential, the other channels I watch usually all have modern homes so I'm excited to watch as you transform it. Good luck in your new home x
I thought the same! Most people I watch buy modern or they buy older but already renovated. So I'm really excited for this too!! ❤
All the modern ones look no same so you don't see different things this is unique with loads of potential love it x

Beautiful and so much potential. I love old houses. So much character. Personally I would make the whole top floor the master suite. It would have to be all gutted and walls come down and on-suite luxury bathroom. But it would be so FABULOUS ❤💚💜💙💛
My mum’s is 1898 with high ceilings, i miss it so much i feel u get better breathing space with tall walls,good going guys really pleased for you both👍❤️

Wow it’s massive so much potential. Love the basement I would definitely keep a toilet/clock room down there. If your having a cinema room it would be really handy not to have to run upstairs every time you need the loo.

Beautiful house, so much character. A breath of fresh air from the new all exactly the same ones that are usually posted. Mine was built in 1874, I just love thinking about all that history, and reading through the deeds is amazing. X

It’s fabulous. Definitely going to keep you busy for a while. Definitely Victorian as Queen Victoria didn’t die until 1901 I think.
the transformation to now is just WOW! you have really modernised it
I've always lived in period properties....couldn't live in a modern house! I love that theyre so full of character, very cosy as we have a cast iron fireplace in each room! And l love the high ceilings, ceiling roses, coving and beautiful staircase. Period houses are full of charm and quirkiness! We even have cherubs on our hallway covings. I love the size of the rooms as they are huge! And imagine if the house could talk? The stories of the people who lived there it would have plenty to tell. Your house is beautiful.....

wow that house will be absolutely amazing when it's done,I love period houses,I have a Victorian house built between 1862-1863, and we took it all back to original Victorian, so much character in Victorian houses,ours was a lot of work ,alot of blood sweat and tears,but so worth it,enjoy your renovations, and keep focused on the end result,xx
Been waiting for this! Absolutely love old houses that get renovated I'm not a massive lover of new builds I like a lot of character and history! I think I spied an old serving hatch next to the stairs to the basement! 👍🏻🤓 I can't wait to see what you guys do with this 💞👏🏼🏚️🏠 you can see how excited you both are!

I’d put a hot tub and sofa/lounge area in that outdoor building!!! Love the ideas for dog station - think we’ll be hearing the patter of tiny feet soon!!! Having done our own Victorian house I’d recommend doing extensions and other building work first otherwise you’re spending to do up and then spending to rip it all out a few years later. That’s what we did and we regret it. Either do the building work first or if you can’t afford it straight away (we couldn’t) just give everywhere a clean and a lick of paint.

Oh my gosh I had those puppets when I was a child ! Lovely house and space and love the dresser I’ve seen some really trendy makeovers on them. Loads of room for a cinema room and a gym down in the cellar x

My first house (5 years ago) also needed to be renovated, it gave me some headaches but in the end it was totally worth it.
In the bedroom next to the master bedroom, is an excellent place for a bathroom but also for a walk in closet 😍

Saw a brilliant video recently of someone buying an old house and converting the basement into a lovely apartment. They then sold the basement area to their parents which paid half their mortgage!! It was brilliant love the house!

Beautiful big house though, period houses in the North West are just huge, they always seem to love their cellars. Part of my family lived in Morecambe and I felt there house just had floor after floor. We always used to play pool in the cellar. Can’t imagine how excited you are to renovate xxx defo going to be checking back on the progress 💓

Love the little kitchen hatch and the fireplace! Black walls sound very stylish! So great when homes have had older people living in them for so many years with outdated, busy wallpaper and carpets because those changes alone, even before you get to full reno, are going to make an astounding difference! I can't wait to see you make it your own and see the progress over the months and years!! Those puppets🙈😂😱

Ah Freya it's amazing... We did this when I was 20...40 now but I wouldn't change it despite the hard work it's so nice seeing it change. Can't wait to see the renovations. Enjoy it...its a great house.
I’d have the pantry as a utility/coats/dog wash room/welly boots area. You could also train as a dog groomer, practise on your new dog and have a lovely little sideline! V nice house btw- quirky and oozes potential. I live in a small town near London and that would have cost over £800,000 for reference as a semi, well over £1k with some improvements (bifold doors, quooker, aga etc that everyone gets etc).

What a fantastic house. I was very frustrated not to see more of the garden, though. It looked amazing. If it was me renovating this house I would have been thinking of ways to get out there quicker.
