🇨🇦 Goodness, I think you are half mountain goat. That false trail was almost straight up. It was worth the hunt though. The agatized shells and the coral were worth it. Hope we get to see them when you have polished them. Wow.
Nate, Another compelling video of another very interesting site. Nothing like a bit of bush bashing to make your own track. That carnelian shell material should look stunning once it’s finished in the tumbler. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin & ( keep dry if you can) 😅
Biily-goatin' in the rain. What fun. Great treasures found, shivering cold and wet, what more could one ask for? Thanks for taking us out on the adventure.
I just finished watching today's quest. As today is my 65th birthday, I will consider it a present. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but you & my husband, share the same birthday. He'll be 71 this June 4th. Thank you for the gift....of your gift!
happy birthday ! thank you for joining me on another quest, and its always fun to meet someone you share birthdays with ! that is super special, Im glad to know you understand boys born Gemini .
This adventure went from mystical to frightening Nate. So happy you got down without injury! Nice finds for all your hard work! Live and learn, right Nate? Now you know so much more about this area for your next adventure here. Really cool agatized and moonstone fossil finds! ☺️
Wow, I'd call this a BIG adventure, not a little one! My anxiety was very high just watching your climb and while you were standing on that narrow trail working shells out of that crumbling cliff side! Thank you very much for taking us along with you Here's wishing you safe journeys!
As always, another wonderful video (who knew you were part Mountain-goat?). Although I had a chuckle when your sittin in a Car while it's raining... and you spray water on your pantleg and the fossilized-rock! Dude... just roll down the window. Too funny.
Had to laugh when I heard you huffin and a puffin up that hill side, reminded me of the last time I visited a isolated Indian camp site that I used to hike to in my younger years to collect artifacts along the little Sioux river valleys in northwest Iowa that's 2 hour or more hike in, anyway went back a couple years ago and found that the grasses were a lot taller, and the hillsides seemed steeper, distance felt longer, my breath became shorter, got lost on my way back to my truck, thought I was going to pass out, so I laid down in the tall grass and pissed myself. TRUE STORY. Haven't been back to that location since, Learned it's not always that safe to be venturing out that far alone anymore. Love your video adventures that take me places that I can feel the taxing that my body as been through also. :) Look forward to your next Excursion....
Pretty cool shell banks. I particularly like the whole spiral shells you picked. I know a place up here in my mountains that has little bitty white shells. Found it when I was a kidder. The neighbor lady gave me some rocks from her yard that she hauled down from someplace up there (she wouldn't share the place) that had the larger shells and calcium build up on them. I'm going to use them in my nursery garden I think.
I’m so lucky to have found lots of fossilized shell here in California on one of my favorite beaches Jalama Beach but I never really looked at them that way. Be sure I’m digging them out of the garage for a closer look Thank you for opening my eyes
whats up brotha. thanks again for another amazing video. you should come down to laguna niguel CA. I live down here. theirs a lot to be explored for sure. feel free to contact me for more info.Stay well n safe brotha.
Nate, going through your playlist! You’ve gone on a lot of daring adventures! Have you seen the Episode on Montana Rock Moms channel that helped her to purchase a emergency GPS tracker?!? Grandma thinks you should watch the episode! Better to be safe than sorry on your future adventures!!! 😊
(I posted this comment before I got to the cliff defacing...thought you'd be more respectful)....thanks for the video...this is my front yard...I live above the beach...my questions are how did the shells 🐚 get this high above the ocean & how long did it take them to get there?...I imagine it's from the fault line and earthquakes/tsunami type events...I would really like a date on this geological site...thanks for the reply...I was just up there for the sunset tonight...a ton of flowers after our late rain...
Just went to moonstone beach 2 weeks ago Saturday in my new car. Took my baby granddaughter to see the big water had a wonderful day rockhounding here and then watched the beautiful sunset at a beach just north of Patrick's Point...Unfortunately on the way back to out motel in Eureka I hit a huge bear on 101 going 60mph totaled my new car and killed the bear it was a horrible way to end my rockhounding summer for sure...Such a gorgeous area I can't wait to go back...
@@QuestForDetails hmmm...I just boxed mine, maybe I should leave them out then haha. I plan to crush and inlay into rings. I'll let you know how it turns out. And thank you, for bringing me along.
@@QuestForDetails Thought it looked different!! We collect moss agate, chalcedony "moonstones" jade, et alia, at Moonstone Beach, CA ... haven't been there for over a year...soon, though!!!?.
Those relics take my breath away!!

#notshort . just need to make a long one sometimes and stretch my own attention span back out a little. this was a hard one but lots of fun !
@@QuestForDetails I'm envious and enjoying the changes... I appreciate the ocean missing it very much.
Looking forward to a trip of my own.
Whoa what a beach. I think I could live there!
OMG, they are beautiful. Loved the beach. Your billy goat trail......🤮 scared the whole time.
I think tine elves made the trail , I was about two times too big for it, felt like Alice in wonderland.
Always nice to walk along the beach & a bonus to find such beautiful specimens.
Thanks Nate 👍
To bad you didn't find your sharks tooth. But this was a great adventure.
The shell wall is exquisite. Your determination to find the good pieces has been admirable. Thank you so mmm uch for sharing this adventure.
🇨🇦 Goodness, I think you are half mountain goat. That false trail was almost straight up. It was worth the hunt though. The agatized shells and the coral were worth it. Hope we get to see them when you have polished them. Wow.
I will go there I'd like to experience the cold weather and pick the beautiful stones.😶
So beautifully enchanting. I would love to live in an atmosphere like that.
it replenishes the soul after a long dry season of fires in the brush lands. thank you for watching !
This is my front yard.....it is magical ✨️
Oh my! That is an amazing site! I'd be totally mesmerized by all the shell layers. Beautiful finds. Thanks for getting wet and sharing your adventure.
I always carry a rain poncho to cover me from getting soaked...cause rockhounding in the rain makes it easier to spot the nice ones...
Love the California you show us. Ancient shells...wow..! Petrified beauty pieces.
The Edge of the world and its full of treasures ! thank you for watching !

I had the same experience trying to find that spot! That overgrown hillside is steeper than it looks in the video. Glad you found right trail!
crazy trail when you do find it ! felt like I passed the test ; ) thanks you for watching !
It's on top of the rock to the left in the video as your approaching the cave 😀 glad you found it

You are awesome, I love the comedy you provide🤭🤭🤗🤗😁 I am new to your channel. Love it!
That "tell your kids you love em before you go up here" line had me laughing
Awesome video, and that beach looks like it provides some awesome material. I love hunting on a rainy day. Thanks for sharing
Beautiful hunt and so many great finds. Thank you for taking the time to share this adventure with us. Keep them coming dude....
I'd love to see the polishing and the finish. 😊
Couldn’t possibly tell you how much we loved this trek. The first time you showed your pieces of shell turned to agate, I saw moonstone. 🧡

"Leave the kids on the beach, & tell 'em you love 'em..before you climb up. It's a semi-deadly place to be. Just kidding..kinda🙃!' LOL!
wow!
Very cool finds,
I am happy that you like our little towns. There are also otter families that like to ride down the river to the sea.
