Had a dislocated rib on my right side and it felt like a stabbing pain and shortness of breath. Definitely not enjoyable. Chiropractor sorted it out and instantly felt better

Same dude, it was just a week before my first day of highschool I had fell off my skateboard and done something to my rib and it took like an entire month before I could turn without feeling the sharp knife in my side and loss of breath. I also got a disk bulge after I graduated highschool so I don't know if that was from the same incident or what. Feelsbadman. But I think just going up to the gym and doing a fair amount of back strengthening workouts is helping me recover from that injury as well.

There are 2 best adjustment moments for me, and this was one of them (in my own life I mean).
I suspect I had the same rib out of place, and I managed to do this adjustment to myself on an inversion table with the help of a friend. It was great. The pain was intense, but so was the relief... and the first full breath after it... I could've cried.
The best adjustment I ever got though was an accident. I'm walking around, unawarely kinda tense and uncomfortable, but I'm still just going into the gym to put in some work.
It was the first ice-over of the winter which for those who don't know is extra dangerous since on the first ice-over, the ice is perfectly flat and transparent. There isn't a bunch of stuff frozen into the ice to make it more visible or give you traction... and sometimes the signage hasn't yet been put out.
Anyway, I'm walking to the gym and I slip on some iced over concrete. I'm 6'1" and 300 lbs, and the ice just took my feet out from under me... like Charlie Brown kicking the football. I fell directly on my upper back and CRUNCH! Just a rippling crunch going from the center of my upper back all the way up to my neck and down to my pelvis. Cracked every joint in my entire back on that fall. It was so fast that I didn't even feel any pain.
I fell, and suddenly, I'm looking up at the stars in a state of full body bliss... but I couldn't breathe (knocked the wind out of myself). After a couple super shallow breaths, I started to regain control of my diaphragm, and I take in a deep cold breath... and I start to feel the cold from the icy ground below me start soothing my back though my sweatpants and sweatshirt. Felt so good. I probably laid on the ground for 30 seconds just taking in the moment... and nobody happened by, so that was a bonus. No feeling of embarrassment or compulsion to rise and let people know I wasn't hurt.
To this day, when my back's tight, I sometimes look at the ground like, "Maybe I should just fall on my back and see what happens"
The downside though, on the fall, I didn't notice right away, but falling like I did gave me a bruise on the back of my head and some pretty intense whiplash on the front of my neck. Definitely worth it though.
I managed to pop out a rib and shoulder. That chiro visit was fun, the rib adjustment was so loud the receptionist heard it.
Man I remember when he was like 160-180 Ibs back in early 2000's when he was doing trick tutorials. Dude is a phenomenal martial artist.

I had a dislocated rib once. Headed to the ER unable to move my right arm, in a lot of pain, and the ER doc couldn't find any problem. Went to the chiropractor a few days later and 30 seconds after he was like "Oh, here's your problem." and fixed it. Whole appointment was less than 5 minutes, after 6 hours at the ER (Though 5 of that was waiting to be seen).
