In the final defence for gate 1, I tried standing at the spot beside the gate but ammo becomes a problem, and it is quite difficult to handle both the gates and the aggro-ed zekes. I find the easier option is to stay on the platform (hopefully with at least a grid) and aim down the gate like at 19:10. This helps to clear both the aggro-ed zekes and gate while the grids also keep the zekes in check. Had pretty good RNG to get 2 RPGs and 1 MGLs, so was pretty generous with using them. I'm using "unshakable" perk here so I don't get damaged or staggered by my own explosives. I think it is useful in this run since you get surrounded quite often in the final defence and you can C4 / MGL at your own feet to clear them off without having to reposition or worry about getting staggered. Examples in 20:50 and 22:10 - with unshakable I don't have to reposition myself which and can stay in the optimal spots to clear the gates.
It's kind of funny how C4-lures and Unshakeable used to be considered a crutch build, yet you've turned it into an on-meta solo setup. Congratulations, excited to see your submission for the Tokyo speedrunning competition :)

Depending on the class you are using, the side spot is always quite good for gate 1, and save explosive heavies for gate 2. This is for medic class if you are interested (ua-cam.com/video/0MOasW09MoY/v-deo.htmlsi=-z-UCIIwmwOQbYaT) Basically try to find a chainsaw from the start and keep it for the final defence gate 1. For gate 2 defence, you can stim yourself and use the machine gun if you don't have any explosive heavies. @@whoami99543 It is quite common to have second gate 2. See ua-cam.com/video/CXf8LiWDlyk/v-deo.html for example. It depends on RNG, if you get lucky, you get a single gate 2. How you tell whether there is going to be another gate 2 is the horde size in the first gate 2 attack - if it is small, you will get another one.
