I was in Pleiku last week and had a great time. The Hedl hotel is beautiful. Check out the lake, Omely cafe and the night market. This town is in the central highlands with coffee and tea fields. The weather is perfect here. The buffet breakfast at the hotel is amazing,
Such a great jam-packed video, Pierce! I love that you show all kinds of different sites and scenes in your videos - makes it really interesting! I always thought houses built on stilts of any kind in SE Asia were for when the monsoons came and flooding occurs, so that's interesting to know that they built them for other purposes. The cow situation cracked me up - especially when you said, "I've never seen a mad cow before," because I was like, "What about mad cow disease?" Hahaha!
Just watched this video with my husband. I came from Pleiku area. This video makes me miss my home. While you were in pleiku, you should've traveled further away from the city and visit the Nine Level Falls (Thac Chin Tang).
@@TalesFromTheRoad Sorry if this has been answered before, I just found your channel and am still working on watching previous videos. How long have you been living in Vietnam? Have you picked up on the language at all?
The country scenes in this video were beautiful. I love looking all the greenery and like you said, the mountains were green all the way up, which is beautiful (I've been up on Colorado's mountains and it's just brown, which isn't as fun to look at). That Catholic church was beautiful. Loved the color combinations. I don't get the whole taking pictures thing, either. It's so narcissistic to me that's why I hate Instagram. :) The view of the lake was breathtaking! So beautiful. And how awesome that some locals were just like, "Hey, wanna go watch a soccer game with us?" Gotta love how friendly they are. Have you considered moving slightly outside Saigon like Vietnam Meets Dustin? It's not for the faint of heart, but he really enjoys it.
I really like living in the city here and its ok for me to go visit when I need! Vietnam is right around the corner! These mini trips give me the chance to see more!
The bo kho (just say baw kaw and your'e good) seemed a bit weak to me. The ones I've had seemed heartier, but I love eating it - especially dipping it with fresh banh mi.
that's awesome, hope to see more your videos :))))
thanks new friend!
NICE. THANKS FOR POSTING 🙏👍

Hello. I couldn't locate the hotel on Google map.. Name was changed? Also, where is the night market?
Love your video ❤❤❤

Great that you liked it! I'm sure they were built for the monsoon season too, but animals getting into your house is also a bad thing!

When did you go to Colorado? If you go during the winter, it's pretty brown, but the other 3 seasons are generally more colorful.
Good video tour. Have you come back to the SaiGon, yet? 😀 i’m Duy, the guy who watched football match with you an Hau.😉
Yes, I'm back in Saigon!
