They have written a story about a guy named Mustafa. -Speaking of, a Japanese girls band "Charan Po Rantan" made a fun version of this. -Normally the Hindi one has another recording with the original "Ya Mustafa" title. It was either Hindus or Muslims made a fuss about the song name or its use in the movie, so they changed into "Ya Dilruba". UA-cam has that "Mustafa" version with the movie scene...and it's hilarious. Two couples enter an Ancient Egypt themed nightclub, the song takes place there, with belly dancing and whatnot. -Kinda being pedantic here, while Nil Burak is originally from Cyprus, in 1975 the TRNC was not established and the song was recorded in Turkey. -I remember another Turkish version by Hurşid Yenigün, in one of his "Pop Fasıl" type of records.
There also exists a slightly different Persian language version of “Ya Mostafa”, performed by famous Persian pop singer Zia Atabai. It has a great mix of traditional Middle Eastern instruments and more modern rock guitar riffs, and was released sometime in the 1970s.

I always thought this was a Greek song, man you learn something new every day. I just grew up listening to it a Greek dances and nightclubs in the 1960's and 70's . I had no idea it was originally from Egypt. It's a great melody that used to get everybody up dancing. Its not difficult to see now that the entire world adored it .
