I've been an audio engineer for 7 years and performing/writing/recording music for 20, I have no idea what type of voodoo that producer did to make Grillo's voice sound that good on the final product. Deserves a Grammy. With that said, I think Rudnick overreacted about this whole situation. 98% of all pop artists out there don't write their own songs, and 99% of record contracts are even more fucked up than the one Grillo signed, not that I would even call it that because Grillo is not signed to a label.

Just imagine your friend is telling you about what he does for work. As a good friend, you promote him and tell people about what he does. Then people call you a liar, a piece of shit or an asshole because your friend is doing something different from what you told them he was doing. You're mad for two reasons, your friend betrayed you and broke your trust ( what else is he lying about if he lied about something that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things) , and on top of that you were the one that had to suffer the backlash and potentially getting a reputation of being a liar or scammer. Grillo's songs actually belong to the producer, not Grillo, meaning all the videos with Grillo's song in the outro could be claimed by the producer and chris could potentially loose a lot of money. There are like 3 producers that make all the music from every artist and a handful of people that write all the songs for all the artists.
