Jesus, I pray right now for this man of God , Brother Urshan. I pray for strength and grace for his mind, body and spirit. Please Jesus keep him strong physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Continue to give him grace to deal with his adversaries, and you have given him great grace for this assignment. Your grace is apparent in the gentleness of his voice, the calmness of his spirit and the peace of his demeanor. Yet he has not an easy task. It takes something to do this daily, to read these letters and to answer his critics. I’m asking you to keep his mind and I come against every attack of the enemy against him, against his wife, his children, his church, and this ministry. Help him at home and wherever he goes. Give him safety and good health. Thank you Jesus for giving this precious man of God, this gift, to the body of Christ. And please keep his heart encouraged because he is helping the saints everywhere. Amen.

I think the difference is they were still under the OT. The Holy Spirit was upon them just like the prophets. But the Holy Ghost did not reside in any man yet because Jesus had not died yet. Only After He ascended was the Holy Ghost given to reside in man that received the baptism. But hopefully Brother Urshan can clarify that issue.

The analogy of Isaac and Ishmael is profound. The "infilling of the Spirit' , being compared to the New Birth is a pattern that goes back to all birth of all the Patriarchs and prophets. Jesus himself being called the Lord from heaven (1 Cor 15:47) while John the Baptist, the greatest among all men was merely a "man from his mother's womb"

What verse says that? Where is the word trinity? One God
The Greek word Kai is translated as and, it is also Even or that is. The word And does not mean another person. Matt 28:19 says NAME singular which is Jesus. All you have to do is read through acts and notice when they mentioned baptism. Jesus is considered the Lamb of God, the King of Kings, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the High Priest. And you believe that, but you don’t believe that One God can be all of that and more.
      Isaiah 44:6-8 KJVS
[6] Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. [7] And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them. [8] Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it ? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
      Revelation 1:7-8 KJVS
[7] Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. [8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
      Isaiah 9:6 KJVS
[6] For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
      1 Timothy 3:16 KJVS
[16] And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
      Colossians 2:8-9 KJVS
[8] Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. [9] For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Jude 1:25 KJVS
[25] To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
Well over 300 times the singular pronoun is used when speaking of God. The Greek Τριάδα is translated trinity. Not once is it used by the Apostles, nor of the OT writers. The OT is clear that ONE God was taught, then after the Apostles died He changed His mind?
      Mark 12:29 KJVS
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Zechariah 14:9 (NKJV) 9 And the LORD shall be King over all the earth.
In that day it shall be-
“The LORD is one,” And His name one.

I had a question for you Brother Urshan! I’m a bit confused on the concept of repentance after salvation. I believe the Bible teaches that when Jesus died on the cross, he died for all of our sins (past, present, and future). And I also believe that when we are baptized in Jesus name, His blood is applied to our lives, making us white as snow. Now, if His sacrifice wipes away all sins, why do people ask for God’s forgiveness through repentance after sinning even after the blood has been applied to them? Are they just trying to get more aligned with God’s will, because to me, it seems like they are already forgiven.

The fact that God chose to use the human tongue as a means to show His Mastery should not surprise any one who cares to study how man is created and what our purpose here is on earth. The utterance shown in Acts 2:4 was not as surprising to the culture of that day as it is in our day. The bible refers to the 'tongues of men and angels' which means there is a very human origin of our words and expressions but there is also a celestial or Godly origin of our words. We see demons crying out of the man from the Gadarenes: Mark5: 11 And there was there, nigh unto the mountains, a great herd of swine feeding, 12 and all the devils besought him saying, "SEND US INTO THE HERD OF SWINE THAT WE MAY ENTER INTO THEM" 13 And anon Jesus gave them leave. Now much more will the Spirit of Christ speak out of our human mouth when we receive the Spirit of Christ (Rom 8:9)

There is absolutely nothing mysterious about Biblical "tongues" - and there is only *one* type - when referring to something spoken, they are nothing more than real, rational language(s); usually, but not always, unknown to those listening to them, but always known by the speaker(s) - it’s their native language (in some cases, it is a language the speaker has learned).
_Nowhere_ in the Bible is modern tongues-speech advocated or evidenced.
‘Tongues’ (read, *‘languages’* ) - the divine gift, is the God given ability to effortlessly learn to speak and be understood through real-language barriers. It is not xenoglossy (as many people incorrectly assume), nor is it the self-created non-cognitive non-language utterance of modern tongues-speech.
1Cor. 14:2 is perhaps *the* quintessential verse used by many to “evidence” modern tongues-speech in the Bible.
The whole passage is talking about real, rational language.
Let me use an analogy - If I attend a worship service in “East Haystack”, some remote town in the US out in the middle of nowhere, two things are going to be evident: one; there’s only going to be so many people at that service (i.e. there will be a finite given amount of people there) and two; the chances that anyone speaks anything *but* English is pretty slim to nil.
If I start praying aloud in say Lithuanian, there’s no one at that service that’s going to understand a single word I’m saying. Even though I’m speaking a real language, no one _there_ will understand my “tongue”. That does not mean or imply that no one else understands Lithuanian; just no one at _that particular service._
In this sense, therefore, I am speaking _only to God,_ since he understands all languages. To everyone at the service, even though I’m praying in the Spirit (as defined in my original post), to the people listening to me, I’m still speaking “mysteries” - i.e. even though I’m praying as I ought, no one understands me. An idiomatic expression to say that no one has a clue what I’m saying as no one speaks my language.
When one looks at the original Greek, the verb which is usually translated as “understandeth/understands” is actually the verb “to hear” in the sense of understanding what you’re hearing someone say. The verb is *not* “to understand”. That part of the verse is more properly “no one hears [him] with understanding”, i.e. no one listening to him understands what he’s saying.
There is _nothing_ in this passage that suggests modern tongues-speech nor is there anything that even _remotely_ suggests that the speaker does not understand what he himself is saying. The Greek bears this out; it is the _listeners_ who do not understand, *not* the speaker - no matter how hard modern tongues-speakers want the speaker to also not understand…….unless the author of the text is a bad grammarian, it just isn’t there.

    • @hargisP2
      @hargisP2 5 місяців тому

That is not true. I speak in a tongue that is not a human language. And it happens when I am in worship, and prayer. Your comment is from training to think that. You have no actual knowledge of tongues. Yes the Holy Ghost can cause someone to speak a language they haven't learned, usually because that is heard by a non believer that knows that language. Paul speaks of a language of angels, which is not human languages. That is what I speak, it is what is known as a prayer language in which the HolyGhost is praying the prayer I can not pray because I don't have the words that express what the Holy Ghost is saying for me.

      @@hargisP2
There is no tongues-speech that is a real, rational language. It is non-cognitive non-language utterance. Essentially random free vocalization.
Thousands, if not tens of thousands, of examples of tongues-speech have been studied and analyzed. Not one was ever found to be a real rational language, living or dead.
“Tongues of angels” is frequently used as a vehicle to posit ‘angelic speech’. That entire phrase, as well as a few others in that particular part of Paul’s letter, is 100% pure textbook hyperbole no matter how one wishes to slice and dice it. There’s just no getting around that. In all instances of angels speaking, it has always been in a real, rational language. In fact, in traditional Jewish belief, angels can only speak and understand one language; specifically, the sacred/sacerdotal language of Judaism, Hebrew. Paul, being a Jew, would have known this, which lends further support for his intentional use of hyperbole.
      You also allude to Romans...
The passage so often quoted from Romans (Rom. 8:26) has absolutely nothing to do with “tongues”.
As one writer puts it (better than I can)…. “The burden of the text is that the Spirit counterbalances the handicap of believers in prayer by interceding for them in accordance with God’s will. The hope of believers is also strengthened by the assistance of the Holy Spirit.”
As to whether or not Paul sort of ‘encodes’ a statement about tongues….Since Biblical ‘tongues’ refers to real language, it’s rather unlikely. To equate this passage with modern tongues because “groaning” is akin to how some Charismatics and Pentecostals describe the modern tongues experience, would require jumping through some interpretive hoops.”

If it was for the day of the Apostles for spreading the gospel, it is just as much for today for spreading the gospel. I have known such situations where people spoke in tongues that happened to be the language of a non believer in attendance. And they were no even pentecostal. You need to apologize to God for saying that He no longer works through people by speaking in a unknown tongue to reach someone. Sorry God is still God. The biblos network, the baptism with the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues isn't the initial evidence of salvation, or receiving the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues is the Biblical evidence of the baptism with the Holy Ghost, which is a separate experience to the rebirth.
The Bible records eight supernatural operations of tongues, and everyone are important to the believers.
Oneness people don't have the Holy Spirit, because a person has to be saved before they can be baptised with the Holy Ghost, and oneness people aren't saved, as the Bible says about those who deny the trinity.
Oneness people have the spirit of the antichrist in them, and their tongues are from the antichrist, NOT from God.
Jn 3: 5 isn't water baptism, those so--called father are wrong. Every time that Jesus meant water baptism, He clearly said so
Please keep Jn 3: 5 in it's right context, you naughty man.
Nowhere does the Biblical Greek says water baptism saves, remits sins, washes sins away or regenerates. As every Christian knows.
It's only false religions that believe water baptism saves.

Alan, you are not saved without being baptized by the Spirit.

@@daltonjames8466 The Bible records three Christian baptisms.
      (1) The rebirth. Jn 1: 12--13. Jn 3: 3--7. 1 Cor 12: 13.
      (2) Water baptism. Matt 28: 19. Mk 16: 16. Acts 8: 36--38.
Please note, the believing comes first, then the rebirth, Matt 28, 19, (Make them disciples first, then baptize them).
Mk 16: 16, (first believe, then be baptised).
Acts 8: 37, (Believed with all his heart).
      (3) The baptism with the Holy Ghost. Matt 3: 11. Acts 1: 4--5.
The disciples in Acts 8: 14-- 17 were saved and baptised in water, but they weren't baptised with the Holy Ghost until Peter and John came from Jerusalem.
Paul was saved for three days before he was baptised with the Holy Ghost, Acts 9: 6--17.
The disciples in Acts 19: 1--6 were saved, they could have been saved for up to twenty years, but they weren't baptised with the Holy Ghost until they met Paul.
The Apostles and disciples were born again in Jn 20: 22 when Jesus breathed the Holy Ghost into them.
I know Peter was born again at that time, because in Jn 21: 15-- 17, he had the Agape love of God in him. A person can't have the Agape love of God in them unless they are born again.
So your erroneous beliefs of the need for the baptism with the Holy Ghost is unscriptural.
You Oneness people really show your ignorance of the Bible, and that's because you aren't saved, as the Bible says about those who deny the trinity.
