- Check out my new RiverRat Avenger Gen 2 jetboat. I took it out for its maiden voyage here on the Potomac and boy is it sweet. My friend David out in Ohio at RiverRat Jetboats did a fantastic job on this one. These are the famous Minijet Inc. jetboats from Canada. David is the U.S. distributor and manufacturer for them.
I told him I wanted one that looked like a Vietnam War-era PBR (Patrol Boat Riverine) and I was not disappointed. I just need to add a few bells and whistles to pretty it up. I don't think it's big enough for twin .50's but I do believe there is plenty of room for an M60. If I can't find one of those, I suppose a flag will do. "Never leave the boat".

I decided to get a slightly bigger jetboat so that I can more easily SCUBA dive from it. I'm lovin' it! Any ideas for flair?

How fast does it go and what size engine does it have and is it 2 stroke.
How much do boats like this go for? I don’t want to email David without knowing if it’s more than I can afford off the bat.
That looks like fun. I had a friend who had a jet boat, but he had a 327cu V8 engine in it. He beat it to death. One time we were out impressing our old ladies and the motor caught fire and we had to jump out into the river while it burned itself out. We got towed back and that was the end of the jet boat. Lol...Good times

"Any ideas for flair?" Yes. You will want a ladder to make re-boarding the boat easier. I would also consider a couple of hook on the transom: One for the BC and tank and one for the weight belt. An area with a raised lip also for treasures.

Well, I mean if your boat is gonna be a respectable PBR, you are gonna need atleast a twin .50BMG on the bow. Just sayin' 😁

Maybe a radio and sound system that projects music upwards. Some lights at night. Anchor down with a sweet gal, crank some good tunes and enjoy the stars on the Potomac

That was the pair of Mokai. They are motorized kayaks. The other river boat was silver and very like the new one.

This one sounds like it's much quieter than that other screaming terror of a boat you had. Like the layout, good idea for getting in the back of the boat.
Some suggestions. Automatic fire extinguisher in the engine compartment.
A lithium battery and charger from the engine. Then get some bright LED flood and spot lights for working and to see when you get caught out late on your way back home. You can rig them so they could be unplugged and put away when not needed.

I wish you were in NH just found a cave on my property here in NH. I still have gotten to explore it. Lots of cool stuff I have 24 acres with another 50 behind that I never explored this area in 20 years wish I did it sooner lots of cool finds metal detecting Old farm walls clearly an old road that you can actually see where they must have been pulling wagons down at a cut of grooves into it like the Oregon trail. Lol I'm not really the whole Cave thing but definitely a cool find maybe one day I'll get my head in there. Freezing cold air is coming out of it even on a 90° day so I have to only assume it's pretty darn deep or running water but I don't hear any. Now as I'm typing this I kind of wish I threw rocks in there like you do in your phone that will be for another day.

Oh man, those boats are so fun! My best friends dad had a Suzuki JetMate in the mid-90s, which admittedly was much less advanced, but was an absolute hoot to take out and rip around in. We were all over the Gauley and Kanawha rivers in that thing. Congrats on the new toy Beau!

You and Tom Cruise/maverick/Tom cruise ( I think they are one person lol) and thirdly Ward Carroll have been vERY ! Instrumental in shaking me up and restoring me to my real self damn the torpedoes going for living life to the fullest!! No more playing it safe! I was always an adventurer and free spirit until a car accident then surgery then stupid covid and the insane world media fears but you three gentlemen are making a huge difference in restoring this lady to who she is. Tossing put much of what I own donating and preparing to go" back to The Gypsy That I Was".
