I lost my boyfriend this year, just 1 month ago. I came to listen to this song once again and it became painful, i thought this was a sweet song until then. He died from an accident and it hurts seeing the love of my love dying in front of my eyes. I will remember him for the rest of my life and I love him so much. I wish I could be in his arms again one day. 2020 really sucks.

My beautiful sister in law passed away last week. She was the love of my brothers’life. They have been together since they were 21 years old. She was 49 when cancer took her life. Her daughter, sang this song during the church service. My niece is 8 years old and I feel for her. Sleep in peace, sister.. you will truly be missed.

Ive never watched coco, today was actually the first time ive ever heard this song. It made me cry so hard. I lost my friend 2 weeks ago, suddenly. Ive been trying so hard to cope with her death. Its been really hard. This reminded me of her. thank you for such a gorgeous cover. (edit: im sure she would have loved this song. She loved music. I wanted to do so many things with her, i met her since we both worked at our churches nursery. She was only in her 30s. I love you, Samantha. ♡)

Lost my grandma on April 27, 2020. My cousin who was in Cavite made a video in memory of our grandma and used this version of "Remember Me" because she can't be home here in Davao due to this health crisis. It's dia de lose muertos, and I just finished watching Coco. It reminded me a lot about my grandma who died last year in the place she was born and raised, Cambodia. I know I'm not Hispanic or anything, but the movie really moved me. I love her so much, she cared so much about all of us.

i have a little brother and we're living apart with each of our parents (not divorced though, my dad is working away from home). we always sing this song together every night on video call because the night before they left, Coco was on air on a channel and he watched it for the first time. I had him in my arms as i explained to him the story and when it came to Mama Coco singing this song, I cried because no matter how many times I watch it, it makes my throat go dry and hurt like it wouldn't go away unless i cried. my little brother wiped my tears, completely puzzled why i was crying.

I listen to this song every night. Not because I lost someone but because I miss him, my father. Weve been cold for 9 years now. When I was young, I terribly made a mistake. He was an Ofw for 20 years back then. When I was in grade 6, I was not able to join the Top students of the class and he got mad. I was young and so tactless that I was able to say "Buti pa yung ibang tatay napapakita nilang mahal nila ang anak nila, Eh ikaw?!" I didnt know he was crying already when I finished emptying out my feelings towards him. 2 days after he went back to Saudi and I was not able to bid him goodbye personally bc I attended my GSP. Since then we closed our bridges. I tried reaching out but it was never the same anymore. He didn't even attended my grad in College even if I was a Cum laude. I miss him. I miss the old him. Kung alam niya lang kung gaano ko siya kamahal. Sobrang mahal ko ang tatay ko.
