Hi Rishabh, thanks for all your informative videos. Can you please make a video on how Canadian citizens can move to and permanently settle in the US. Thanks.
Become Canadian first. If you studied and work in one of 63 eligible professions under USMCA agreement, you can work in USA as temporary worker via TN-1 visa. TN-1 is a 3-yr non-immigration visa that can be obtained in US-Canada border or airport for about $60 and can be renewed as many times as necessary. Usually, the professions require a Bachelor degree. Eligible professions include engineer, registered nurse, lawyer, accountant, librarian, social worker, hotel manager, and computer systems analyst. Occupations excluded from the list include software developer, programmer, IT & cybersecurity, web developer, and data scientist. Why? The list came from 1989 US-Canada Free Trade Agreement (superseded by NAFTA) and it has not been changed ever since.

When Canada made available 10,000 3-yr open work permits to H-1B visa holders in USA on 16th July 2023, they were gone within 48 hours. It shows that temporary workers in USA are not happy. For India, there is 10+ year wait for employment based (EB2, EB3) green cards. They are processing those who qualified for EB green cards in 2011 and 2012 now.
I have studied here in Canada, now going for company projects to USA. And started thinking of how system here makes people to stuck in trap. This video is very close to reality of both sides. There is a reason why so many Indian students are studying in Canada. For India, the queue for employment based (EB2, EB3) green cards in USA is 10+ years. They are processing those who qualified in 2011 and 2012 now.

Very easy to get tn1 visa which is required for canadians to work in the US as there is almost no competition when compared to h1b visa which Indians need to work in the states and this year 780k+ people applied for 85k h1b visas.
