Hi David. Racing boats tend to bring there booms to the center relying on the forsail to bend the wind onto them. It only works though if your keel has enough grip to sail that close winded. You might find on your boat it just goes sideways if you sail that high
great to see you back, Im looking forward to more new videos. Especially as you have spent a lot of time on the Crouch, which is where my boat lives. Oh yes, Hannah the weather this year has spoilt my plans too.
Thanks Alan. For the first time ever we bought the genuine thing this time... although very old ones. These are 2 Hero session 4's which we got because they are small, light weight, waterproof...... and cheap
Wow, 26 miles in a dinghy is a looong race!
Totally agree. We’re on the same river as you. Worst summer for boating that I remember. Maybe we’ll get a great late summer surprise.
What not boiling LOL good to see yous back
Good to see you back! Yours was the first sailing channel I watched and Ian's instructions helped me to get sailing. Thank you!

We have all missed you guys. I love the sound of the water. Glad to hear it's only the weather that has kept you away.
Good to see you back on You Tube, we have hardly done any sailing in the last two months because of the weather too. It;s frustrating isn't it.
Thank you and yes, It is
Good to see you back on the tube. That's a different boat to the Wayfarer I learnt to sail in at Barton broad in 1974 😀 Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid.
Welcome back to the nicest sailing family on UA-cam! I've missed you.
Great to see you guys are back again. We have had the same issues ourselves in Sunny Essex. Pleased you are both keeping well
Nice to roll-tack in that weather, aren't they? Not too much initial stability and plenty of inertia.
They are, although when its puffy like that you never know if your going to have the same pressure on the way out of a tack that you had on the way in
lovely to see you back and great camera work

The weather has been rubbish! We had hardly any sailing trips this season as well. Fair winds in the remaining part of the season! Hopefully... :)
Thank you, you to
You will have to come up to Norfolk and do the 3 rivers race in the wayfarer, 50 miles within a 24 HR limit.
It is on our list or things we would like to do.... not sure if we will ever get around to it but hopefully
@@SailingwiththeFoxwellFamily the wayferers normally do very well if it's windy.

Good to see you again. I had a mk4 for a while - lovely to sail. Can you tell me which 360 camera you are using (the one on the stick you can't see)?
