    The tent is most likely for dry wood termites but could be for many of things. They are called tent fumigations. They use tear gas and Vikane most of the time

    After having fished in FL for years, now TN, the re is a MASSIVE difference in the 2 rods setups you have. In FL, if you fish the condo lakes with the cheap red one, the crabby old biddies will scream " PRIVATE PROPERTY " !!! Ya DAMN KIDS !!!
    With the beautiful sleek ti gray rod, the husband comes out with a couple of beers and lawn chairs, and HIS Lews TI super rod. New best friend bro.

    My nost expensive pairing was a Lews Hypermag on a Dobyn's Champion. I find that you get deminishing returns on the most expensive gear, while mid range gets you the best bang for your buck.

    I have found the best bang for your buck for combos is a $100-$150 reel and a $200-$300 rod. While the more expensive reels have more bearings and are smoother overall most of the time they have the same amount of drag. The rod is what you are detecting the bite with so I tend to spend a little more money there.

    I have the older lews xfinity with the blaze orange and white and i love it. It was my most expensive combo and first actual respectable baitcaster combo. A while later i bought the favorite balance reel and put it on a lews hank parker signature rod so it took the lead for the most expensive rod reel combo i use but its still only like 120 dollar setup. Im so scared im going to drop big bank on a combo and its gonna get guillotined by a door or stepped on like an old combo i had. Luckily it was only like 60 bucks or the kid that stepped on it in the bed of a truck would have been used as cut bait.

    A Megabass Arms Super-Leggara that cost me just under $1000, paired with a Megabass IP79 for $600. It was so over the top I only fished it a couple times then sold it. I had no need for something that expensive to beat up tournament fishing. Most of my combo's now are $500-600 with shimano curado's, chronarc's and tranx on rods I build myself. Do I think there is a benefit to the more expensive equipment? Yes, if you are someone who fishes hard and frequently. Higher end tends to be lighter, so you don't get worn out fishing 9-10 hours a day for several days. Also more durable, less issues, more sensitive.

    • @aficionadolurecompany700
      @aficionadolurecompany700 2 роки тому

      More expensive gear doesn't necessarily catch you THAT many more fish. One of the disadvantages of expensive gear is that you find yourself being super careful with your rod like it's made out of Time Crystals. Like, I don't even like to set those Phenix M1s down on the ground.
      But, Hook Up ratios goes up because the rod typically has a Fast action which helps to set the hook quickly with less flex in the rod.

    So, I done something like what you have here. But think you should try other brands. So you have your high end combo, now get the high end KastKing and make them as equal as can be done. I believe you will find that the KastKing $300 combo will be and feel just as good and the $800 combo. Also, use your $100 combo, and smaller name combo. My little channel will never have the budget to purchase even the $300 combo, but I can do the bass pro shops brand $100 which has been better than my $100 Lews speed. I have friends that have some of the higher end reels, which I have cleaned and took out for testing and I would say that in many cases, that some not all, but some are just over priced.

    Why dont you use a braided fishing line? If you use a braided you can have a thinner line/ still as strong and durable, than using a thick flourcarbon/monogilament line? In sweden we all fish with braided lines because you get a better contact with the fish/bait because it don’t stretch. The thinner the line is the longer you can cast, also it sinks faster to the bottom, if you want it to do that.
