Ukraine and Poland will create a joint military enterprise for the production of weapons

Ukraine and Poland will create a joint commission that will prepare recommendations for the creation of a Ukrainian-Polish joint venture for the production of weapons and military equipment. The joint venture will bring defense and military cooperation to a new level and allow the creation of modern types of defensive weapons, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said following intergovernmental consultations with the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki.
The created commission will be engaged in establishing cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian companies, including defense ones.
As a result of intergovernmental consultations, a memorandum was also signed on the need to increase cross-border trade in electricity and restore the Khmelnitsky NPP-Rzeszow power transmission line.
Poland will also help in the development of Ukrainian communities as an integral part of the recovery plan.
On May 29, Polish President Andrzej Duda officially confirmed that the country is ready to become a guarantor of Ukraine's security.
On May 30, Poland proposed giving Ukraine observer status at the International Energy Agency.
