I remember when the F8C first dropped. I was hooked instantly with its flight characteristics. Once they nerfed it, I wasn’t as disappointed as I was prepared for. It became pretty much my daily for a long time (split duty now). Your experience has me a bit gutted.
I’ll give it a shot when 3.23 hits the PU but I feel that I may end up putting the game down for a while.

As someone who would spend long through phases of spending long periods bounty hunting in Elite Dangerous, I was hoping MM would make combat closer and more cohesive, like Elite. The problems is CIG makes these last second, arbitrary features, after the fact, then "shoe horns them in". MM is one such last second feature that was shoe horned into a system not designed to support it, and it isn't providing the combat experience or solving the issues that CIG claimed it was meant for. Back strafe meta? Lol. All those new race tracks released recently were made for the pre MM flight model, and MM has now made them obsolete. That is not game development. Unfortunately this keeps happening. For years.

I made my own music using AI, I wanted to add some funny undertones to the video seems like it worked. I even added in their own lore about the F8 from squadron because it’s supposed to be nimble, but not any more. I think people will hop into 3.23 for a week or release it’s ass and wait for the next major update

This is it. You nailed it, 100%. They have no direction.
They create stop gaps until they can implement what was intended (which is being adjusted on the fly). Then their stop gaps are far removed from the end goals and no longer a suitable foundation. So they end up building on top of jank or wedging something in that doesn’t fit.
Really, at this point, they should be hyper focused on creating a game that works then tightening everything up from feedback.
They made the f8 manuver like a vanguard...nice cig...real nice...even the cutty performs better
Would they have sold as many F8’s last year if they would have had the current flight model?

Yeah I agree. Cig have nerfed the fun out of space combat. I noticed it the most in arena commander trying pirate swarm. Chalk and cheese between 3.23 and 3.22.1.
Yeah it’s boring trying to give it the benefit of the doubt but it feels like I’m playing starfield
Bro the F8C was actually in a very nice place. But people cried about it cause everyone used it. But people weren’t using it cause it was meta. People were using cause it was cool af and it was viable sitting comfortably in A/High-B tier. The people that kept getting shit on by F8Cs probably got shit on because they were not that good at the game and didn’t know how to properly maneuver or they were just using an inferior ship or both. With the nerfs and release of the F7A the F8C is pretty much obsolete. F7A gets pretty much same damage potential with far superior maneuvering. As it stands the F7A should be used over the F8C in every situation. But i suppose some may still want to use it for aesthetic reason or for role playing. But hopefully with the released of the F8A they may buff the maneuvering a bit to help it do a little better. CIG really fucked up by nerfing so hard and i seriously hope they rectify this mistake. Ain’t no way a ship that is a concierge reward for spending 10/15k$ on the game should be this bad. I understand not making it S tier but this ship rn is like bottom C tier or upper D tier.

The F7A is about as good as the F8C in terms of firepower. I expect that the F8A will be the superior fighter of the F7A, and F8C.
They will need to bring the F8 up to gold standard

not gonna lie.. the F8 kinda garbo right now in trying to combat like legacy build. in MM using the F8 like a bucky (strafe runs) works pretty well though.. been having great success with a cannon build. but MM flight model changes everyday so no telling what will be meta from one day to the next.
I prefer to not strafe with the f8 since it takes 8 million years to make a turn now, but that backstrafe works though, it’s even better with repeaters because you can saturate at 2km
@@marcuswynn89 I tried back strafing against sweaty dudes in AC.. they all hooked onto me blasted tf out of me 😆 but it's effective against most in live server 😁
@UnclePorkchop doesn’t work well in ac or PvP I think
@marcuswynn89 yeah, no.. just constant noise, cannons and luck.. F8 can't maneuver like it used too. Especially in atmosphere.. but we'll figure out a decent method soon.. then we'll expect another nerf like always 😁
@UnclePorkchop it’s gonna be hard for them to sell combat ships now I think, I know that mirai heavy fighter was supposed to be coming out but idk it’s probably gonna be sluggish just like the other heavy fighters
